Set in a renovated property originally built in 1862, Château de Montabert is an elegantly-decorated guest house surrounded by a 14-hectare park.

The location is remote, which is what we like. The grounds are beautiful. The chateau is recently renovated and in exceptional condition. The staff were very friendly and gave us a good recommendation for dinner.

    Very good location, 10 minutes drive from the motorway but very quiet in beautiful mature grounds. We did a nice morning hike before heading out to continue our road trip.

    Simply amazing. Vanessa was a great host and David an excellent chef, the meal we had was superb. Probably the best meal we ate during our 10 days in France! Lovely to also meet Vanessa's daughter who was an absolute delight. Pool is amazing, we had it to ourselves! Unfortunately we only stopped over 1 night, so didn’t have time to explore the area, but will definitely come back.

    The hosts were charming at all times and provided a very warm welcome. Beautiful building and beautifully decorated. Lovely room with very comfortable bed, gorgeous linen and an excellent en suite bathroom. Good breakfast with an excellent range of quality products.
