Very high spec - everything appears new and modern. You do walk past the owners living area to get to it but it has its own private entrance and feels really private when you are there. The place is spotless. Great TV. Shower is excellent and the bed really comfortable. Really nice neighbourhood near lots of shops and restaurants (driving). Harbour and sea inlet near by. 20 minutes into the centre of Wellington.

We stay for one night, and we couldnt recommend this place enough! It was awesome! Really clean, very welcoming and warm. Everything you need provided for you ( a hairdryer would we cool) Host are super friendly and were so easy to communicate with.

Birdsong Cottage is a recently renovated vacation home in Paraparaumu where guests can make the most of the garden and terrace. Birdsong Cottage blew me out of the water -- it's gorgeous, calming, immaculate and the hosts, Susan and Gavin, go above and beyond in ways that make you feel more like whānau than guests. The cottage is very pretty, clean and extremely comfortable with much evidence of attention to detail. I asked if I could check in earlier since I was checking out of a previous lodging at 10am and Susan was truly accomodating although it was a big ask. I took advantage of the property's stunning aesthetic with photos galore and spent most of the time on the porch with wine or coffee. I am a big Tūī fan, so it was an absolute dream and the hosts are mindful to make sure that birding is optimal on the property. At their kind insistence, Susan offered me fresh eggs and Gavin drove me to the Paraparaumu airport. Stunning experience, I cannot recommend it enough.

Tamaterau Seaview House in Whangarei in Whangarei provides accommodations with a garden, barbecue facilities, and a shared lounge. This is without a doubt, a hidden gem. Alice is just the most wonderful hostess. Her house is unbelievable. But that all pales, compared to the view you have from the back deck. The photos do not do it justice. What a vista. Best sleep I had on my entire trip. Thankyou, Alice.

A recently renovated apartment, Raglan Retreat on Gilmour offers accommodations in Raglan. Everything! it is so tastefully decorated. Fantastic water pressure in the shower and nice towels. Comfy bed; nice TV and the most pleasant wake up to the birds singing.
