Featuring pool with a view and views of mountain, Fare Haurevaiti Moorea is a recently renovated homestay located in Paopao, 9 km from Moorea Green Pearl Golf Course. Gorgeous views of the surrounding area. We had our own bathroom. The place was very clean. Sarah, the host, was super helpful and gave so many good recommendations for things to do. No AC, but this was no issue. Never felt too hot or muggy. 10/10 would recommend.

Set within 2 km of Temae Beach and 4.6 km of Moorea Green Pearl Golf Course in Teavaro, Haere Mai I Te Fare features accommodation with seating area. The hosts were very kind and patient with me, as it was my first time in Mo'orea. I felt very well taken care of, safe (solo female traveler), and like I was part of the family. It was a perfect balance of time to recharge alone in my room, and also socialize in the common areas and get to know the hosts as well as other travelers. I loved their sweet dogs too. I would definitely come back. Highly recommend.

Set just 1.7 km from Tiahura Beach, Fare Tokoau Moorea offers accommodation in Moorea with access to a garden, barbecue facilities, as well as a concierge service. Our stay at Fare Tokoau was more than wonderful. The owners are very friendly. The cabins are big and practical, with a front porch overlooking the beautiful garden and ocean. We can highly recommend the Alex Lagoon Tour which leaves from Fare Tokoau and whereby you swim with turtles, sting rays, sharks, snorkel between the corals, look for dolphins, etc. (book ahead in high season!). We would definitely come back here.

Set within a unique tropical garden beside the lagoon, Hôtel Fenua Mata"i"oa features a bar and an on site restaurant. Guests at this waterfront property can relax in the outdoor hot tub. This is such a wonderful property- the years of care and personal time invested by the owner and staff are evident in every turn. Location is so convenient, but when there you feel separated from the daily life of the island enterprises. It’s a little slice of heaven on Moorea. The grounds of the hotel itself are fascinating and overflowing with tropical trees and flowers and statuary. The cats are so friendly and make it feel like home (but we love animals). The entire staff want nothing more than for you to relax and enjoy and will go out of their way to assist you with anything they can. They were all so nice and helpful and pleasant. We ordered breakfast each night and it was delivered promptly the next morning and was delicious every day. We were out exploring or doing activities most days so weren’t there much during the daytime. We had a couple nice dinners out and had delivery from Holy Moly Steakhouse one night when we wanted to stay in. So several choices for dining options in your suite or nearby depending on your schedule and preferences. We had a rental car from Avis that we picked up at the ferry port in Moorea and dropped off at the airport in Moorea which I would recommend to make it easier to get around. It was very easy to navigate around the island. But several of the restaurants and activity coordinators will gladly pick you up and drop you off at the hotel if you don’t want a car. It was a very safe location and we had a mixed crowd of guests during our stay. Solo female travelers, couples with very small children, mixed generational families (grandparents, parents, older children, etc), and some couples either honeymooning or vacationing. It was a nice mix and everyone just kind of did their own thing. It never felt crowded or too full. It was perfect.
