Tabari Dive Lodge is exceptional. Not only is the location breath taking, the snorkeling, straight in front of the lodge, outstanding, the food plentiful and very tasty, the sunsets mesmerizing and the bungalows authentic, quaint and private with hammocks and deck chairs to laze about on while soaking up the turquoise water and white, white sand, it is the owners Brigette and Jeff who really make this place special. They are so very passionate about the biodiversity of the area and go out of their way to make sure you can engage with it in a way that allows you to get the most from your experience. They truly care about the wellbeing of all their guests and Brigette make a mean cocktail while Jeff exudes excitement for every dive! Daily dive trips are arranged to a vast range of locations, many of which are excellent for snorkelers so don't worry of you are not a diver, I am not and had some unique experiences seeing a vast array of marine life I have never seen before. The lodge itself has resident black reef sharks- they talk about them as though they are pets and although I am desperately afraid of them, by the end of the holiday I was enthusiastic to see them while snorkeling and I did to my delight. There is also a number of turtles, vast living coral, fans, squirts and clearly tropical fish but most importantly they have a resident Dugong. These beautiful mammals are highly endangered and it is a very special experience to swim along side these graceful and gentle animals- we were so blessed to have this experience twice. Late afternoon is the best time to have an encounter with the Dugong. I actually think there are two as the first we saw seemed bigger and they do mate for life but are quite a solitary animal.. At low tide there is a beautiful deep swimming hole directly across the island accessible by a short walk through the coconut trees. It is 2-3 meters in depth and very refreshing.

Everything! The best of 5 places we stayed in RA. Clean bathroom, spacious room with comfortable bed.terracce with two big sunbeds. Nice position. Very good food. Very nice and professional staff speaking English. Wi fi. Always possibility to go somewhere shearing the boat. The prices clear and competitive. And one of the most beautiful reef especially towards a small island between Kri and Mansuar. The diver center very professional and all divers were very satisfied.

Steven, a staff member, helps with whatever you need. The drink water has a hot & cold spigot. Cold water a treat in the tropics.

Set back in the mangroves, it is truly private and secluded. Everything in the villa has high standards, from the bedding to the shower, air conditioning, etc. It was spotless and everything is very well maintained. The kitchen/living room are open to nature, allowing me to enjoying laying in the jungle on the hammock. Fast internet, hot showers and 24 hr electricity are difficult to find in Raja Ampat and the villa has it all! You can also buy beer/whiskey, etc at the villa for a nice end-of-the-day drink. Food: I had home cooked Indonesian meals every evening. The chef, Dorce, was not only excellent, but gave me her recipes and let me help cook! The breakfasts were European with extra touches such as the cappuccino machine. They also accommodated my food requests as I’m a rather picky eater;) Tours: I booked snorkeling tours every day of my stay. The boat operators and snorkel guide were outstanding! Helpful, good eyes for spotting the difficult fish, and very punctual!! (Rare in Indonesia). Every tour was truly a full day with up to 5 snorkels. I saw everything on my list, plus a lot more! There is also the possibility to snorkel the home reef in fronting the villa. Things I loved: absolute comfort, privacy and luxury. 100% transparency about prices with NO hidden charges. Excellent communication and flexibility when planning tours. Thank you Remko, Caressa, and the entire staff at Luzo for making my trip absolutely unforgettable!!! I’ll be back!

We were absolutely delighted with this homestay. Everything is done with so much care and attention—the space is incredibly clean, well-maintained, and welcoming. The food is simply amazing, prepared with dedication and full of flavor. The family running the homestay is incredibly friendly. Although they don’t speak English, they use translation apps to communicate, and if their nephew is on vacation, it’s very easy to communicate in English. Tomás, who manages the homestay, is fantastic! He made sure to take us to all the places we wanted to visit and even offered us a boat tour around the area on our last day—a wonderful gesture! The bungalow is simple but cozy, equipped with a large fan and a mosquito net, ensuring a comfortable and restful stay. The location couldn’t be better, with sea views on both sides of the island and breathtaking sunsets that are truly magical. The homestay is completely isolated, offering the perfect environment for tranquility and relaxation, despite being very well located close to key spots. Speaking of location, must-visit spots like Pyanemo, Tugas Island, and Melissa Garden are just 5-10 minutes away by boat. The only downside is the lack of network coverage at the homestay, so it’s important to plan all your activities and dives in advance if they’re not directly arranged with the homestay. The bathroom is simple but super clean. The shower is traditional, using a bucket, but it’s surprisingly pleasant. If you’re looking for diving experiences, we highly recommend Pam’s Divers. They are slightly farther away, but they are extremely professional and friendly, making the experience even better. An unforgettable experience—we highly recommend it!

The homestay is idyllic and secluded. We were right on the water, the porch is nicely decorated, there's a table and chairs so in the evenings we could easily play cards. In the day, if we weren't diving with Corepen (they come and collect you and drop you off), we would snorkel on the coral reef in front of the homestay which is fantastic! We saw a turtle, ray, squid, clown fish, a shark etc. All three meals are included and Lina's cooking is amazing. We would eat fresh fish everyday. Portion size is very generous so you won't be going hungry. Lina and Arnes are so kind and gentle hosts we couldn't recommend this more. Their English is very limited so just make sure you download a translator app if you don't have data (there's no WiFi). The amenities are basic and you get electricity from around 6:30pm-10:30pm but for us, this only added to its charm. When we passed other homestays, we were always grateful for picking Efenli.

The place is extraordinary. The house reef is very beautiful with many fish and corals in excellent condition. All the staff was very nice. I especially want to thank all the staff for the attention received since I had a health problem and they were concerned about my health at all times.
