Martha was an exceptional host. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time at Casa Maya, it was a perfect location for my boys (8 & 10) to become fully immersed in experiencing what Rio Dulce had to offer - they enjoyed kayaking, fishing, swimming and relaxing on the hammocks.

In the Rio Dulce river near a 16th century castle the Tortugal Boutique River Lodge peninsula is bathed by almost constant on shore breezes providing a cool and refreshing place. everything about it ! the rooms are lovely , the location is perfect and the activities (kayaking, swimming around the property, taking a boat to the river, walking in the woods) in the property were fun! the food was excellent throughly the day including breakfast. lunch and dinner and the drinks are delicious. the staff and especially Angela and Ruby, were just so lovely and are So welcoming and professional. they helped us with everything. from the minute we arrived until we left, even with taking a bus back to Antigua and arranged the driver, taking a boat day trip and just made everything feel so nice. Angela is an exceptional caring person and made us feel so good during the entire stay. thank you Angela for making our stay so special.

Nastanitev El Hotelito Perdido s 4 zvezdicami se nahaja ob morju v mestu Rio Dulce in ponuja vrt, teraso ter bar. Na voljo je kopel v termalnem vrelcu za goste. TLDR: Go there. The best advice I saw in the reviews was to book one more night the you planned to. I wish I could give more than 10, because this place is truly amazing. You understand you're in heaven the moment you step off the boat. The surroundings are incredible, the rooms are comfortable (even hot-ish water in the shower), the meals are big and delicious, and Tim, Alejandra and the whole staff are helpful (from activities, advice, and transportation to anywhere when leaving). I was surprised by how many things you could do in the area. I thought we will mostly be stuck in the hotel (not a bad thing with this one) reading books and swimming in the river, but eventually we had ourself an awesome schedule that is possible thanks to the transformation and guides (and kayaks) the hostel offer, and actually had to decide between activities because we didn't have time to do them all in our 3 nights stay. Also, the chocolate is amazing and so is the massage. It seemed to me like the place is truly doing a good job in being an eco-hotel so also thumbs up for that. I contemplated a lot about visiting Rio Dulce area, and after not meeting anyone planning to go there throughout our whole trip, I started regretting my decision to come. I'm so happy we eventually decided to go because it was one of our favorite places in Guatemala (maybe the favorite).

It’s a perfect stay for this area, you can do everything in La Isla Dulce, from breakfast to dinner, kayaking to boat rides and the best cocktail parties!

Nastanitev Livingston Resort Hotel se nahaja v mestu Lívingston in ima vrt, zasebno plažo, teraso ter bar. Nastanitev, zgrajena leta 2005, se nahaja 16 min hoje od znamenitosti Plaža Playa Capitania. Lovely boutique hotel. Loved the unique style of accommodation. Very friendly staff. Probably best value for money so far on the trip.

Nastanitev Casa Nostra se nahaja v mestu Lívingston in ima vrt, skupni prostor za druženje, teraso ter bar. Loved the beautiful location. Stuart and Abby were both amazing with advice about activities and logistics. So awesome. I also thought the staff at the restaurant, especially Jose Luis and Fernando who are connected to AK Tenemet, were terrific. Great food too!
