My kids and I were after a peaceful and quiet Christmas and got exactly this and more at Tobu House. The house is simple yet elegant, warm and homely. We had access to the sea and took out kayaks to look at corals, had a lovely swim at the salt water Tobu, did a quick trip to the waterfalls and thoroughly enjoyed the greenery, farm animals and the peace and quiet. Kirsty and her lovely Dad were amazing hosts, they made sure we had all that we needed during our stay.

The neighbours who managed the property on behalf of the owner will cook homemade Indian meals on request, so you don’t even need to go into town when you don’t feel like it.

Sigasiga Sands Boutique Bungalows is a recently renovated villa in Savusavu, where guests can make the most of its private beach area and garden. From the first communication to leaving, communication with understanding and patience was highly informative, friendly and very professional. Gene, Subash and Sunita treated us better than family. Coco cottage was wonderful, full of charm and personality, with a wonderful view of the sea. Sunita prepared wonderful dishes of steamed okra, chicken curry and pumpkin lolo, that were absolutely delicious. Sigasiga sands has an understated charm, so much space to explore, such a wonderful beach, with amazing snorkeling and so many hermit crabs to say hello to. The nature trail behind the resort was a welcome foray into the rain forest and also gave us a wonderful vista of where the resort it on the coast. We would go back without a question.

Savasi Island is a boutique island resort located just 10 minutes from Savusavu airport on Vanua Levu. EVERYTHING! The location was beautiful and very easy to get to. When we got inside, we had a very warm welcome from the staff and were treated intimately and personally, a trend which continued throughout our stay. Each day was as relaxing or adventurous as we wished, with easy to engage with daily activities or the ability to stay secluded in our private villa. The staff were all extremely polite and helpful, and made every effort so we could stay unstressed. The food was excellent, especially the integration of local crops in innovative new ways such as cassava mash. Being able to select ahead of time was an efficient way of not having to think later in the day. Our villa was kept in great condition by staff, and we were supplied with everything we needed to be comfortable. An incredible place to stay, can’t recommend it enough.

Providing sea views, Fiji Lodge Vosa Ni Ua in Savusavu provides accommodation, free bikes, a garden, a private beach area, a terrace and water sports facilities. The view was fantastic of the grounds and the ocean. It sits on a very lush, green property. The room is very large, has a great couch, kitchenette and table with chairs. The bathroom is a nice size too.

The location is stunning - on a tidal river that flows into a pristine lake. The lodge provided kayaks and tubes - and offered a variety of activities. This is a very eco friendly lodge. The staff were all wonderful. We were able to use the beautiful outdoor kitchen. All the food was excellent. Chef Oscar Ramateau prepared fresh and delicious meals for us both days and even accommodated one of our parties extreme allergies. It's the perfect place for a small group. Six of us (3 couples) fit very comfortably there. We completely enjoyed our stay there and would happily return.
