The Valley Tayrona hostel- A unique social jungle hostel features an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in El Zaino. The Titi hut was great for a couple and staff was awesome! All new English to some extent as a minimum and they were very helpful. Most beautiful sunset we have seen in Colombia

The staff were so friendly, the best service we had in Colombia. The food was delicious, especially the French toast! It’s a perfect location if you want to visit Tayrona National park. The calibre of this hotel is high for this area, highly recommend! We would love to go back in a heart beat.

Ecolodge Playa Brava Teyumakke offers accommodation in Santa Marta. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. You can play table tennis at this hostel. Absolutely loved the experience of staying at Playa Brava - well worth the effort of the hike in! We did the walk from El Zaino to Playa Brava (took 5.5 hours incl time to swim at Cabo San Juan on the way) and then exited via Calabazo the next day - certainly recommend doing it in this direction. Both ways it is quite a steep hike but well worth it! We found that AllTrails was a really good app to see the trail map/elevation etc. which you can download and follow with GPS. Pack lightly and take plenty of water - food and drinks available at Playa Brava but at an expectedly high cost. Much more tranquil than the masses of people at San Juan. Recommend the bungalows if you can afford it - huge room with view of the beach, private hammocks underneath your bungalow and deck chairs to take to the beach, whereas the hammocks are all in one hut together. You also get access to your own private bathroom (short walk from bungalow) whereas the hammocks share 3 bathrooms between 20-30 people.

Senda Maloka Barlovento is a beachfront Hotel located 2 km from the entrance of Tayrona National Park. - fantastic breakfast - delicious food and drinks in general, at very fair prices - very accommodating staff making it possible to customize food orders, make arrangements, etc (they even helped me get off a tick) - beautiful surroundings and facilities - lovely views - do anticipate not being able to swim, as the waves are very rough - fun additional activities you can book: I highly recommend yoga with Halie, the cacao tour and SUP with Leandro - amazing massages - warm water in the shower (definitely rare in this region!)

Situated in Los Naranjos, a few steps from Playa de Mendihuaca, Senda Kokkos Beach features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a private beach area. Amazing place, with great stafd (especially Luz on the reception). Restaurant was good, they are also very acomodating, they served us dinner 1min before closing time. Bring insect reppelants, jungle is all around you.

Set in Los Naranjos, 100 metres from Playa de Mendihuaca, Casa Xue Tayrona - Alma Hotels offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. The place is amazing if you want to stay close to the tayrona park. But don’t bring big bags because is difficult to bring them up there. The food was amazing and the personnel too.

Located in Guachaca, within a few steps of Playa de Mendihuaca and 2.1 km of Playa Los Angeles, Natyva House provides accommodation with a private beach area and free WiFi as well as free private... The house is close to the beach and the river, it has everything you need for a comfortable stay and Jhon will always try to help you and give you advice to explore the area. You can walk 10 minutes to see the beautiful sunset at the Mendihuaca River. There is actually a house in front of Natyva that is still under construction, but the work would be between 9am and 4pm. We could really rest, you don't hear the party on the other side of the river ;) We were travelling with a small child and everything was fine for him. It is a safe place and a safe environment. We did some day trips from there to Guachaca and Buritaca. Best to have your own/rented car.

Mendihuaca Surf Camp features a garden, private beach area, a terrace and bar in Guachaca. It’s a nice place. New and clean and great views and open, breezy rooms.

Huge tent with open-air shower and compost toilet *large, shady garden with many trees and bushes *Very attentive staff (you can order by whats app or in person) and great table service (Thanks Katha, Guillermo and team) *I eat mostly plant-based and they prepared an avocado toast for me for breakfast that was not on the menu. Food and snacks were very good *Located 10min on the beach to Costeño Beach Hostel where I hang out a lot to play beach volleyball and eat lunch/dinner *Very private and relaxing experience *Fully sustainable *Amazing white sandy beaches 🏝️ *Nice conversations with staff 🙏🙏🙏 *completely save to walk on the beach at night *SUP and surfing possible at nearby hostels

Boasting a restaurant, Magdalena Beach House is set in the sidewalk in Los Cocos. and also provides a bar and a garden. Guests can enjoy ocean and garden views. My boyfriend and I absolutely loved this place! We had access to free drinking water, the breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the beds were really comfy. The restaurant around the corner was delicious. We would definitely stay here again.
