Casal da Penha Apartments offers accommodation within 600 metres of the centre of Funchal, with free WiFi, and a kitchenette with a microwave, a toaster and a fridge. This recently renovated apartment is located 1.8 km from Almirante Reis Beach and 2 km from Gorgulho - Gavinas Beach. The rooms come with a balcony. We started our trip around the island here. It was an excellent choice. The place was extremely clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. The host was also very friendly, eager to help and easy to contact.

Boasting a rooftop pool and views of mountain, Blue House is a recently renovated apartment situated in Ponta do Sol, 70 metres from Lugar de Baixo Beach. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace. The apartment has family rooms. Clean, comfortable, nice to have a swimming pool. Host was charming.

The spacious apartment comes with 2 bedrooms, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and a fully equipped kitchen that provides guests with an oven, a microwave, a washing machine, a toaster and a fridge. Towels and bed linen are featured in the apartment. For added privacy, the accommodation features a private entrance. The property is immaculately clean, super comfortable and spacious and the views are stunning, especially from the terrace. The hosts are incredibly nice and make you feel very much at home. There is everything you could possibly need: fully equipped kitchen (with tea and coffee as well!), washing machine, hair dryer, etc… and there is hair conditioner (as a person who never manages to find conditioner available in any accommodation, this was super nice!). Just to put the cherry on top of the cake: you have access to the garden which is full of herbs planted by the hosts available for your cooking. It’s a shame that the accommodation for the following nights was non refundable because we would have loved to stay here longer! Looking forward to coming back.
