Located in Elvas, The Bastion Elvas Apartments is a recently renovated accommodation, 20 km from El Corte Ingles and 20 km from Badajoz Fortress. The Bastion Hotel is a fabulous little gem of a place to stay in the center of Elvas!!! Very comfortable, modern, and clean. The bathroom was spacious and inviting, the bed unusually comfortable - a huge plus!! Plenty of wardrobe space, a little kitchenette, with coffee maker, water boiler and a fridge. The room was very charming: Each room has a different theme: mine was “Cortiça” - ‘cork’, a theme which ran throughout the cozy space. Luis was always very quick to reply and very helpful. I’d highly recommend this as a place to stay when visiting the fabulous town of Elvas. I’ll be returning without a doubt.

The common outdoor space is very pleasant for a family afternoon. It is in an area normally subject to high temperatures but all rooms have air conditioning. Across the road is a river pool which is a great alternative to the children's pool at the house.

Casa da Judiaria is located in Castelo de Vide, 10 km from Marvao Castle, 20 km from Portalegre Townhall, as well as 20 km from Portalegre Castle. The host Eduardo was super friendly, very kind and generous and we had a beautiful gift basket of local and homemade treats as well as fruit waiting for us when we arrived. Eduardo met us personally to welcome us and give us the key and had many suggestions of interesting sites and nature hikes, since we were staying for eight days. We found the location so charming and beautifully situated, just around the corner from the castle walls on a quaint and quiet cobbled street, festooned with pots of flowers. The apartment was roomy and comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed with pots and dishes for self catering. We had a fantastic stay!

Fit to my purpose with everything needed in a apartment (cleanness, comfortable, location and price) and the owner/manager was very friendly.

Confortable homey feel with lots of personal touches. The fresh flowers, fresh bread, and various beverages were unexpected and sweet. Good location right off the city center between the Museum of the Inquisition (excellent) and the Fountain de Vila.

Casa Bombarda is one of the nicest accommodations we’ve ever stayed. Particularly loved that toilet and shower are in separate compartments - made much easier for 4 adults.
