Lucia went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and even went down to the town to get pizza and beer for our dinner as we had had a tough day … the last thing we need was to coast down several hundred feet in elevation on bikes for dinner and then truly struggle back up cobbled narrow streets. It was like dying and going to heaven to have her help us in this way. It was lovely.

Dina personally welcomed us. Perfect for a stopover on our road trip from Pompeii to Rome. Location was also great with easy free parking in the street and a good restaurant across the road. We didn't have time to visit the town centre in detail, but it has an historic section which I'm sure would be worth visiting.

The place is very central Skalea is wonderful, the parking was easy. Flat very clean, the beds are comfortable no complaint. We stayed 3 nights to visit surrounding cities like Reggio Calabria.
