Sovereign Pier On The Waterways offers luxury waterfront accommodation with kitchen facilities and a private balcony with stunning views. Accommodation’s practical & spacious layout made for very comfortable stay. Facilities like gym, tennis, pool - a big plus for the family. Really enjoyed having a garden and view of the water too.

Boasting a terrace with lake views, an indoor pool and a garden, The Retreat can be found in Taupo, close to Great Lake Convention Centre and 35 km from Orakei Korako Cave and Thermal Park. It was a little difficult to find even with the map I brought with me. Should have spent one fewer day in Rotorua, and a second day in Taupo.

Located alongside the lovely Lake Taupo, Braxmere Lodge offers accommodation with a patio and lake views. Braxmere Lodge Tokaanu is a 10-minute drive from Trout Hatchery and Turangi. The location was great with an amazing view of the lake and just what my wife and I needed on our honeymoon. It was great as a jumping off point to visit the surrounding areas like Lake Taupo itself and Tongariro National Park as we visited various Lord of the Rings filming locations surrounding and on the volcanoes. The room was clean and very spacious, with one of the largest bathrooms in our three week's staying all across New Zealand.

Located directly opposite the harbour and 2 minutes’ walk from Whitianga’s main beach, Esplanade Apartments offers private balconies with views of the swimming pool, marina or ocean. Very helpful and friendly, very good equipped, very nice apartment - absolutely recommend coming!

Situated across the road from Buffalo Beach, Blue Marlin Apartments offers spacious apartments, some with sea views. The property is a 5-minute walk to Whitianga Marina. Free WiFi is provided. We really enjoyed our stay here. I booked 3 different units, for 8 people, which gave us lots of space. Having a shared patio was a bonus for meals with all of the family. (The one unit had a full kitchen, which was handy and having bbqs were great!). Having the beach right across the road was amazing, as well.
