We had a wonderful stay here! The studio is very comfortable, equipped with everything you need. The bed is comfortable, the terrace is large, surrounded by beautiful flowers and trees, and the views of Chora and the castle are impressive! The beach is only a 5 minute walk from the studio. However, what made our vacation unforgettable is the attitude of the owner Ioannis, he made us feel at home all the time, gave us many recommendations, met us at the port late at night and took our luggage to the port when we left. The hotel is great and the couple that run it are very nice, accomodating, and helpful. Very clean and well maintained rooms and common areas. The pool is also really nice, even though it's a stone's throw away from Μπλε Λιμανακι (Blue Harbour beach) and Maltezana beach, and a few hundred meters away from Plakes. The hotel is conveniently positioned in the middle of Astypalaia, so it's easy to drive west to Chora and drive east to other beaches or Vathi.

We loved everything about Hotel Castillio. The staff are all so friendly and will go out of their way to help you. The rooms are cleaned daily and towels and bath robes and bedding are changed almost everyday.The location is on the entrance to Maltezena so travelling by Astibus is very easy. We had the room with the jacuzzi/pool and it didn't disappoint. All the local Tavernas are within walking distance and the food was very good in all. If you like cats you are in for a treat.

The location is ideal for visiting the Chora and also Livadia which has one of the best beaches with tavernas and cafes. In fact there are 2 excellent fish tavernas in this location. The rooms were pristine and Irene the owner is very welcoming and helpful on all matters concerning Astypalia. The service was exemplary and the rooms very clean. Everyday, fresh seasonal fruit was provided, together with water and other provisions. The kitchen pantry is properly stocked with provisions for breakfast . The suites face the sea and are in a tranquil setting….no disturbance from party revellers or late arrivals. It is perfect for a relaxing few days. The suites are recently built and furnished to a high standard .
