MiraMare was on a beautiful and unique location, on top of hill. We had great views from our apartment to the sea and the room was spacious and handy. You had your own kitchen, where you could prepare breakfast to your liking. The staff was polite and friendly, we especially appreciated the help from Chris. He helped us find nice restaurants and locations near by La Spezia to visit.

Zidane, Davide and le signore were amazing hosts, so helpful with travel info (Italy is a quirky place, Cinque Terre especially so - and we arrived for the first time there with only info gleaned from the Internet), hiking ideas, restaurant recommendations and the like. We had bad weather, including a storm alert that closed the Parco Nazionale, which meant lots of revising of plans ..
Our room was basic but beachy, spacious and comfortable, with a terrace overlooking the vineyards and city of Riomaggiore; the bathroom was nice though the shower / tub - big by European city standards - was oddly shaped and my tall partner bumped his head; the breakfast was varied and delicious, mostly local, organic choices, with individually-brewed coffee drinks (no problem getting our cappuccino doppio); we liked the common areas - 2 jacuzzis (very relaxing after a day of hiking those crazy hills and valleys), and a lovely lounge area where we enjoyed our complimentary bottle of prosecco at watching the sun set over the sea.
With a balcony overlooking the Ligurian Sea, apartments at the Gabbiani Residence are 300 metres from the sandy beach and 1.5 km outside Portovenere.

The location is very nice, exceptional view form the balcony. A bit outside the city center, which is good seeing very quiet in the evening and in the morning.
Ideal for travellers who want their own space and don’t need frills. Aparthotels/serviced apartments have some hotel facilities like a reception desk but are self-catered with a place to cook (e.g. a kitchenette). This suite-style accommodation usually has more than 10 units per property.
Modern room, hotel services, daily cleaning, exceptional staff, near the train station, carrefour express nearby, pedestrian street with restaurants five minutes away, beautiful city.
The Host was very friendly and helpful. He met us on time and gave us some useful information. We were provided with wine, coffee and breakfast food. The house has everything you need for self catering.
There is a lovely outdoor area to sit out In.
We had 3 rooms in this aparthotel, a double, triple, and twin. All the rooms were immaculate and appeared newly refurbished. We were greeted by the host who guided us to free parking and was on hand to give advice about the area. We also had breakfast included in the cost of the room in a little cafe across the square....perfect !!
What a treat it was to stay in this beautiful apartment. It is new and beautifully decorated. Moreno is a wonderful host and he went above and beyond to ensure our stay was hassle free. There is a great supermarket close by and the kitchen was well appointed for self catering. We highly recommend the apartment and would absolutely choose to stay again should we return to La Spezia.
Antonio was a great host, he met us when we arrived and gave us valuable advice on where to eat and what areas were best to visit. He also gave us some lovely treats on arrival which we really appreciated after a long journey. The apartment is very clean and comfortable and beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for self catering.
