Situated in Luleå in the Norrbotten region, with Luleå Central Station nearby, Guestly Homes - 2BR Executive Apartment features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. We were driving from Southern France to North Cape in Norway. This was an ideal place to stop overnight cooking for ourselves. A garage just around the corner was the cheapest in the area for diesel. Excellent TV and soud system.
Wonderful! I do enjoy being in smaller towns with small tiny shops, friendly people who are talking to each other which seems to be the core of the live in Luleå. I visited Luleå during the Wintertime which I can truely recommend. The concept of isbana is Wonderful -walking on the frozen water and creating the Space for all of the types of sport there!
We came down to Lulea from 'the wilderness' further north west, it was a nice clean town with lots of facilities. We travelled down by train which was lovely - the station is right in the town so very convenient - as was the bus out to the airport when we left. It was late January and the sea was frozen - an amazing sight and experience to walk on it over to an island and then across to land on the other side (near the airport). We also tried 'kick-sledging' which was fun. In summer there is obviously lots of opportunity for enjoying the water and lovely countryside.
Great clean air city center almost surrounded by water with beautiful views. Free ice skating and walking on the ice in winter - swimming in the summer in the clean water. Broad shopping avenues with a wide variety of good restaurants. Peaceful city not overcrowded, safe and clean both indoors and outside. Great relaxing getaway.
Luleå city, with its stunning landscape, is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. However, during my winter 2023 visit, I found the city's attractions quite limited. Many sites were unexpectedly closed for renovations or other reasons, and without pre-booked activities, options were scarce, as tickets for popular activities sold out quickly. The city's compact size makes it easy to explore on foot, but the lack of open attractions during my stay disappointed a traveler looking for spontaneous adventures.
had coffee, a beautiful strawberry small pastry, cheap burgers (for swedish money), even bought a nice luggage walked on a frozen lake (it was cold) the sun shining, when not cloudy, 8/10 people sometimes smile at you when you greet them we found NO cocktails in this god forsaken place, what people do for fun, remains a mystery (alcohol store was good tho, so probably they drink at home) civilised place, with toilets and heating in multiple places some trash on the floor, proper european culture
It was cold around Christmas time, it’s a small city with everything you need but nothing more than that. I waited for the Aurora borealis but barely saw them these depends on the weather conditions I did expected the -25 and am happy that it didn’t got any colder than that
