Offering city views, Casa Guardiao is an accommodation located in Chaves, 37 km from Carvalhelhos Thermal Spa and 60 metres from Chaves Roman Bridge. I am travelling throughout Portugal and staying at many places. This accommodation more than exceeded my expectations. The Casa Guardiao has teal historical relevance, that fact in itself made it a privilege to stay here. However once inside, my breath was completely taken away with the standard of everything. Not only that, the view from my kitchen was something else. I have travelled to Africa and Asia where excellent accommodation isn't too expensive, but this really was another level for me. Understandably people who are considering staying here may be sceptical of my review due to the praise I give.. I'm confident my review will be one of many. Visitors to the area should consider visiting the Roman Spa museum. It's free and is amazing.. Unfortunately the hot springs were closing for lunch, so I didn't get the chance to visit.

Also the standard ibis quality and functionality of everything. Size of the room and bathroom are agsin perfect. AC works perfect. Parking situation not the simplest, but with a motorcycle one (or even a group) can get away parking on the sidewalk against the wall of the hotel building. Sraff is nice and efficient.
