Located in Luqa, the recently renovated Luqa Apartment - 5 mins from Airport provides accommodation 3.2 km from Hal Saflieni Hypogeum and 5.8 km from Valletta Waterfront. A huge apartment, extremly clean (and I mean it), with everything working perfectly. Close to the airport too. Very quiet rooms, Lidl nearby, buses to any destination (Valletta, Gozo, etc) nearby too. We were very happy with our stay here! The apartment is so big that you can do sport simply by going from the sleeping rooms to the kitchen :) We already regret leaving it!

Favourite places: St John's Co-Cathedral, Fort St Elmo, walks down Merchant and Republic Streets. Street food - especially the pastizzis get a bus pass and/or download the "Bolt" App - Uber is there also but Bolt gave immediate service. Be aware that the fast ferry to Gozo runs subject to the weather and the alternative from the top of the island is a 90min bus ride away.

Attard is in a central position between Valetta and Mdina with regular buses to both. It is a charming village and we went to Jalies a high end coffee and light bites cafe (but does burgers, pasta too). It is walking distance frm Balzan, another lovely village, with plenty of places to eat and drink. Zmerc bar is lively and brings endless free tapas- very good value and fun!

Msida has good access to public transport and is quite in the center. Easy to go to Valletta and St. Julian’s. There’s just a lot of construction going on at the moment. But if you just stay there and get busy during the day it’s a good place to book accommodation if you plan to go to every part of the island.

It's a nice place where to rest and be quite during the whole day. People are nice, and everyone can speak english very well. Well connected with all the most important places of the island, but keep in mind that you can't be in rush when waiting a bus in Malta. For the rest, great experience!

Birzebugga is not a typical touristic destination, it is more the place for locals to make BBQ on the beach or relax at the sandy beach. Birzebugga's beauty is limited by it's industrial surroundings, the pollution and the container port, the airport is also nearby, so especially landing aircrafts can make a noise. There are some good restaurants, e.g. POSH - Turkish, Bob's Kitchen - street BBQ on weekends or walking along the beach Dar is-Sajjied, a family run bistro in St.George's Bay. There are good restaurants in Marsaxlokk, we visited T'AnnaMarie. The public transportation is well organized, UBER, Bolt are on Malta also not overpriced.
