Nicolas Bougaïeff

Canadian-born, Berlin-based artist and producer Nicolas Bougaïeff is a hugely experienced composer whose decades-long love of club music - he has a PhD in minimal techno - and desire to challenge convention have informed genre-busting Berghain sets that expertly blend tempo and defy categorisation. After a series of releases for labels such as Trapez, Bougaïeff released his debut album for NovaMute / Mute, The Upward Spiral (2020), following his 2017 12”, Cognitive Resonance, which formed part of the NovaMute relaunch.
