Story
Growing up in Dundee, Scotland, Cox lost his father when he was just eight years old and was brought up by his three elder sisters in the aftermath of his mother's nervous breakdowns and ultimate hospitalisation. After joining the Dundee Repertory Theatre at the age of 15, you could say the rest is history—but that is to overlook the enormous graft that has gone into the making of the legend we know today. This is his untold story.

What a gift to hear Brian tell his own story - high points, low points, regrets, embarrassments, acknowledging his talents as well as flaws, politics ... and even quite a bit of gossip about other thespians. Loved it and would highly recommend

Story
In many ways, we’re more comfortable than ever before. But could our sheltered, temperature-controlled, overfed, underchallenged lives actually be the leading cause of many our most urgent physical and mental health issues? In this gripping investigation, award-winning journalist Michael Easter seeks out off-the-grid visionaries, disruptive genius researchers, and mind-body conditioning trailblazers who are unlocking the life-enhancing secrets of a counterintuitive solution: discomfort.

I wanted to like it but i didn't

There are some great bits of research in this but I was rather put off by the constant references to hunting - killing animals for the sake of killing animals. ( I am not vegan/vegetarian but it was all a bit gratuitous). Couldn't seem to finish it. I do congratulate the author for turning his life around though.

What a life! What a story!

Absolutely loved this memoir and it was a privilege to have Sam himself as narrator. A life well-lived. It struck me that people in their 20s might find this hugely inspiring - hearing from someone who just let his life play itself out without setting ridiculous goals or being too entangled in what other's thought of him, someone motivated to make a living rather than be a star. Thank you Sam, it was an honour to listen to the story of your life. May there be many more years of fun and adventure

Story
Aged 13, Theo Decker, son of a devoted mother and a reckless, largely absent father, survives an accident that otherwise tears his life apart. Alone and rudderless in New York, he is taken in by the family of a wealthy friend. He is tormented by an unbearable longing for his mother, and down the years clings to one thing that reminds him of her: a small, strangely captivating painting that ultimately draws him into the criminal underworld.
