I liked the story, you could argue it was an amalgamation of many story lines however as a whole merged really well

Played at 1.3 speed makes the narration almost bearable. Someone needs to give the Author a thesaurus, listening to the same description over and over in the same paragraph gets a bit boring.
Listened to the end as other reviewers said it improves but alas it’s not what I found. Story line ok, but feels like a 15 year old wrote a lot of it.
Sadly I accidentally purchased another of the series, my bad.

First book in 60 that I could not get through, little or no back story, no side story, no character development
It’s like it’s been written by a school student, “and then I did this, then I did that, then he did this”
It just goes on and on
No proper descriptions of anything, jumps from place to place with no explanation
And read in a frustrating way to make every little point sound important
I just had to stop.
