Story
Sybil and Blake Gregory have established a predictable, well-ordered Manhattan life - she as a cutting-edge design authority and museum consultant, he in high tech investments - raising their teenagers, Andrew and Caroline, and six-year-old Charlie. But everything changes when Blake is offered a dream job he can't resist as CEO of a start-up in San Francisco. He accepts it without consulting his wife and buys a magnificent, irresistibly underpriced historic Pacific Heights mansion as their new home.

I enjoyed the background of a brain implant with all its controversity, so up to date now.
The thriller and suspense was sometimes a bit overwhelming on this serious topic though.
Worth while listening to in my opinion.

So much more than a romance book
Reviewed: 28-02-2023
I expected a light typical romance as so many others and was so pleased to find a great audio book,
full of suspense and of course romance, too.
I am glad I gave it a go. It's worth listening to.

Story
From Australia's master storyteller comes an endearing and engaging novella about a journey as unexpected, painful, intriguing and character-filled as life itself. A cruise was the promise. To cruise away from their troubles. To cruise towards the place where they first met, on the banks of the Thames. A cruise to dwell in their memories together and plan their next chapter. Paddy and Jenny Davern have had a long and happy marriage together in Sydney. Together they embark on a cruise to London, for the last leisurely journey in each other's company.

Then the book took me in, as it got deeper and full of love, life and condiderations about death.
I recommend it for adults with an open spirit and a sain discernment.

Allmost perfect story
Reviewed: 19-01-2023
I loved listening to this story, which has depth, some drama and a lot of hope and new beginning. It was not a 5 star for me only because the end was too cliché happy and didn't reflect the same niveau as the rest. I recommend it all the same.
