Story
On January 14, 2018, a 17-year-old girl climbed out of the window of her Perris, California home and dialed 911 with shaking fingers. Struggling to stay calm, she told the operator that she and her 12 siblings - ranging in age from two to 29 - were being abused by their parents. When the dispatcher asked for her address, the girl hesitated. "I've never been out," she stammered.

sad story

Never heard about this case before. But it was a really sad one. The begining chapter was a bit slow when the author talked about the family's history but it made sense later on.
Narrator took awhile to get used to but overall the narrator was okay.
I would recommend this book to someone who likes true crime.

A realy good book that that is about our planet's past today, and perhaps its future. Also full of interesting and sometimes sad information on what is happening to our environment.
I would recommend this title to those who want to have an idea of what might happen if we disappear and also learn a bit about the history of earth.

Could not stop listening.

I really enjoyed the last book in this box set Surviving the Collapse. The story was at a fast pace and kept me listening to the end. Especially the last few chapters as I thought that Dennis and his crew would win. Overall, a very good book. As for the narrators, at times I probably would’ve preferred a male narrator or narrators reading the book. As it suits the genre better. But the narrators chosen, still did a good job at reading the books.

Technical problems
Reviewed: 02-11-2020
Overall I really enjoyed the book. I wanted to finish it more faster.
However I rated this book four stars because I had technical problems when using Alexa to play the book.
It would play the book fine for awhile, and then I would get a message saying I am having trouble playing the book.
This happened a few times. So in the end I finished the book on my phone.
However when someone reads this review the problem may be fixed.
