Story
The statues disappeared in an instant. While they were on Earth, they caused confusion and destruction without ever lifting a finger. They also contributed to the untimely death of April May: a young woman who stumbled into their path, naming them the Carls and gaining viral fame in an avalanche of conspiracy theories. When April's friends try to carry on with their lives, a series of clues arrive - mysterious books that seem to predict the future - and which also seem to suggest April may be very much alive...But there's a bigger mystery to solve.

True evil starts when we treat people as things. Terry Pratchett said it first, but Hank Green paints a terrifying picture of that evil, and how we avoid it. what a great story.

insipid story with one dimensional characters. it looked like a short snappy story, but there was so little plot that it still felt repetitive and laboured.

Story
Narrator Dan Stevens ( Downton Abbey) presents an uncanny performance of Mary Shelley's timeless gothic novel, an epic battle between man and monster at its greatest literary pitch. In trying to create life, the young student Victor Frankenstein unleashes forces beyond his control, setting into motion a long and tragic chain of events that brings Victor to the very brink of madness. How he tries to destroy his creation, as it destroys everything Victor loves, is a powerful story of love, friendship, scientific hubris, and horror.

What an unrelentingly depressing book. The language is bounlessly florid, and the wailing of the heartless and bigoted Frankenstein just never lets up.

But now, spinning in the strong arms of the debonair and devastatingly handsome Benedict Bridgerton, she feels like royalty. Alas, she knows all enchantments must end when the clock strikes midnight.

Why does she always have to manufacture a fight between the lovers. It is possible for people to fall in love without arguing and hating eachother. This book should have been 80% shorter.

This novel brings together concepts from maths, physics, politics and history, some extremely advanced and even speculative theory, and weaves them into a story that is not just technically amazing, but emotionally compelling.

Story
In celebration of the week-long, once-in-a-decade rite of Apert, the fras and suurs prepare to venture outside the concent's gates - opening them wide at the same time to welcome the curious "extras" in. During his first Apert as a fra, Erasmus eagerly anticipates reconnecting with the landmarks and family he hasn't seen since he was "collected". But before the week is out, both the existence he abandoned and the one he embraced will stand poised on the perilous brink of cataclysmic change.
