Story
Daisy Darker is arriving at her grandmother’s house for her 80th birthday. It is Halloween, and Seaglass—the crumbling Cornish house perched upon its own tiny private island—is at one with the granite rocks it sits on. The Darker family haven’t all been in the same place for over a decade, and when the tide comes in, they’ll be cut off from the rest of the world for eight hours. When the tide goes back out, nothing will ever be the same again, because one of them is a killer.

The Story and the narration was both engaging and easy to listen to at the same time and as it progressed the story just got better and better right up to the very last word. This being my first Alice Feeney experience I'm now really looking forward to discovering more by this author.

Story
For eight strangers in a Los Angeles hostel, even the other side of the world isn’t far enough. The craving for a new identity and the desire to start again is something they have in common. But they discover that it doesn't matter where you are or who you are - if you can't lay the past to rest, fate and coincidence have a way of catching up with you.

Story
The perfect marriage? Or the perfect lie? Jack has looks and wealth; Grace has charm and elegance. You might not want to like them, but you do. You'd like to get to know Grace better. But it's difficult, because Jack and Grace are never apart. Some might call this true love. Others might ask why Grace never answers the phone. And why there are bars on one of the bedroom windows. Sometimes the perfect marriage is the perfect lie.

I only try on one of Nina’s pristine white dresses once. Just to see what it’s like. But she soon finds out...and by the time I realize my attic bedroom door only locks from the outside, it’s far too late. But I reassure myself: The Winchesters don’t know who I really am. They don’t know what I’m capable of....

Story
Anna Ogilvy hasn’t opened her eyes for four years. Not since that night at The Farm when she was found asleep with a kitchen knife in her hand, her clothes bloodstained, the bodies of her two best friends lying close. She’d committed the crime of the century – but nothing and no-one could wake her from the nightmare. Believers in her innocence call her Anna O. Believers in her guilt call her Sleeping Beauty.

After listening for many hours and then at the end when explaining to plot, it all became a little too much really. Or should I say a little bit over the top? I could barely keep up with what it happened.

One night changes everything for Toby. A brutal attack leaves him traumatised, unsure even of the person he used to be. He seeks refuge at his uncle's rambling home, the Ivy House, filled with cherished memories of wild-strawberry summers and teenage parties with his cousins. But not long after Toby's arrival, a discovery is made. A skull, tucked neatly inside the old wych elm in the garden.

Story
It was supposed to be fun. A relaxing trip to a remote mountain retreat where there’s no phone reception. Three couples, friends since high school, are looking forward to a weekend of drinking, reminiscing and flirting. When someone suggests swapping partners, it doesn’t seem like such a bad idea. The lights will be switched off, for privacy. It’s not really cheating if you don’t know who you were with, right? But when the lights come back on, one of the men is dead. No-one can agree who was in which bedroom with whom.

I’ve listened to this series from the first book and enjoyed every single one.
This is a particularly long story, which was a smidgen tedious at times - mostly during the “@ blah blah” dialogues, however, once again i am sorry the story came to an end as the characters somehow came to life and became so familiar i felt i knew them personally. Thank goodness there is another book in the series i’ve not listened to yet … give me 5 mins …..
