  • #558 - Helping Mom With Murder - Grovetown, Georgia
    Jan 4 2025

This week, in Grovetown, Georgia, a woman is horribly murdered, in her own home, in what looks like an interrupted burglary. The house next door is also burglarized. But once the story begins to become more clear, it's obvious that this is actually a complicated plan of killing & cover up, all to be able to more easily have an affair, and has a mother & son looking down the barrel of very long prison sentences!!

Along the way, we find out that Nelly won't even come to the county fair, that having someone shoot at you, doesn't make you innocent of murder, and that some people will never acknowledge the truth, even when it's being screamed in their face!!

  • #557 - Suburban Ax Murder Mystery - Brighton, New York
    Jan 2 2025

This week, in Brighton, New York, a woman is brutally murdered with an ax, in her very comfortable suburban home, making everyone wonder if a crazed killer was on the loose. Detectives seem to have no clue who could have done this, until a old neighbor, with a violent past confesses. But police still don't think he's the guy, and focus on the late woman's husband. Who did it? The neighborhood murderer, or the mild mannered economist husband??

Along the way, we find out that the Holiday Inn is very erotic in Rochester, that police shouldn't watch "A Current Affair" for help with their police work, and that sometimes, justice is a real head scratcher!!

  • #556 - Incurably Crazy Killer - Lewiston, Idaho
    Dec 28 2024

This week, in Lewiston, Idaho, a wild scene emerges, when a man is found beheaded by a co-worker. The only suspect had already left to check himself into a hospital, claiming that his name was "Dump Truck", and that he heard voices telling him to kill "the mark of the beast"! That's not even the craziest thing he says, but the question remains... just how disturbed is this guy??

Along the way, we find out that Idaho views vary from pristine valleys, to composting plants, that you never know what voices are in some people's heads, and that when you decapitate someone, you don't get to pick your prison sentence!!

Not the same old murder cases

James researches and writes about the murder cases and Jimmy hears about the cases when we do so his reactions are real and express the shock and horror that the rest of us feel. James provides an overview of the town and sometimes the times since some of the murders are from the 1970s or 1980s. The best part of this podcast is these two cover cases that have not been done on every other true crime podcast and have only covered a handful of cases that I have heard on other podcasts. A side benefit of this podcast is James's books suggestions. I've listened to several of the books that he has suggested and I enjoyed all of them.

YAYYYYYY!!!

So glad I can finally review STM! Never did figure that out on Google podcasts. These guys are hilarious! The number of times I have cracked up and had to pull over while driving is just... innumerable. I die every time James says "it's just haw-rrible" in his NY accent. Jimmie is a sessy beast with a heart of gold. These guys make murder fun 😜

Listen to these guys

They threatened to kick me in the balls if I didn’t leave them a good review. They’re lucky I actually love the show. Listen to the podcast for stories you’ve probably never heard of and for the jokes.

Love you guys so much!

These guys are great! Fun laughing at small towns (just like the one I live in) with stories that hook you and make you cringe at the same time. My husband and I have become fans - we listen every weekend after the kids go to bed. Carry on Jimmie and James! :)
