About this listen

This moment is the gateway to enlightenment. It is the only moment we have to be joyful, mindful, and awake. The key is to be there for yourself - to learn to be fully present in your life. This, Thich Nhat Hanh explains, is the heart of Buddhist practice.

In this introduction to the practice of presence, the beloved Buddhist teacher provides indispensable insight on the essentials of Buddhist thought and offers a range of simple, everyday practices for cultivating mindfulness. These teachings empower us to witness the wonder of life and transform our suffering, both within us and around us, into compassion, tenderness, and peace - not in some long and hard struggle, but in this very moment. As Thich Nhat Hanh declares, "the energy of mindfulness is the energy of the Buddha, and it can be produced by anybody." It's as simple as breathing in and breathing out.

I listen to this over and over again

This is one of those books I keep coming back to! The beautiful simple writings of our dear Thay are such a balm. I find myself calmer, more settled, breathing more deeply, more present just listening to these teachings.

I also love this narrator. Gentle eloquent voice.

Much gratitude 🙏🏽

Bringing One To Nowughgg7gughjjhu th8ygyuy

I have read and listened to a good number of Thich Nhat Hanh's books oand consider them a spiritual foundation of my life. This one amazes me (like his others) with its own fresh perspective. Two c9rŕ4h4ompelling threads are: coming back to ourselves in THIS moment - the one we truly have - and its meditations on the true nature of being that is not a dualism of bodily birth and death.

This book helped me to go beyond the thoughts sometimes racing in my mind, to BE in this now moment, looking at the wonder of evergreen tops or hummingbirds, or appreciating a dear one's love today. Its stories are compelling.

The book has a brisk, clear pace, and its9u writing is beautiful and rich. The narrator's crisp, strong reading of it is a good kuumatch. I will return to its meditations as I often do with Thay's works. 7u uh huh uhhi lllk hi lol 8and iui99mm it 5555m to 766it5888iui uhkym44 ye uh uhuykkujy uh uh 9u9uu ugh 8h uh thi uh huh 9u9uu uhu r 888888li888 said jo9 lk hi k
