About this listen

He had a strict "no tourists" policy...

Until she broke all of his rules.

When Graham Barnett named his diner The Tourist Trap, he meant it as a joke. Now he's stuck slinging reindeer dogs to an endless parade of resort visitors who couldn't interest him less. Not even the sweet, enthusiastic tourist in the corner who blushes every time he looks her way...

Two weeks in Alaska isn't just the top item on Zoey Caldwell's bucket list. It's the whole bucket. One look at the mountain town of Moose Springs and she's smitten. But when an act of kindness brings Zoey into Graham's world, she may just find there's more to the grumpy local than meets the eye...and more to love in Moose Springs than just the Alaskan wilderness.

Fun romantic

This was a cute fun romantic summer read. The guy repeats his pet words a bit too much but it makes him a softie inside .

This was different - loved Grahams narration

I've been listening to lots of romcoms lately, so many of them seem to be more or less the same after a while. But this book stood out to me. Graham was very different to other characters in this kinf of stories. Probably because of the genius narration one feels hr always has a smile on the face. Loved to listen. Such a feel good story. So sweet!

Absolutely delightful!

Absolutely delightful!
There’s so much to love about this book, I don’t even know where to start!
Graham is the seemingly grumpy proprietor of the local bar & grill. Despite his erratic hours, limited menu, and making people clean their tables, Graham’s business has become THE tourist destination, much to his annoyance. Because Graham hates tourists, even though his small Alaskan town has become dependent on tourism. So, imagine his horror when a kooky, sweet, pretty little tourist is left behind by her friends at his bar one night and he’s tasked with making sure she gets back to the resort okay after drinking one of his lethal concoctions.
Zoey quickly captures Graham’s attention with her broken glasses, wild hair, and zest for making the most of her once-in-a-lifetime Alaskan adventure. Not to mention her love for his blind dog who wears pajamas and hats for comfort. You will fall madly in love with Zoey!
But how can these two start something when Zoey is only there for two weeks? The ticking clock of their relationship lends itself to the perfect pacing of this book! There’s a slow tumbling into love that is delicious.
Elise Arsenault is a new voice performer for me, and I love her!

Cute.

The book was cute, some parts were pretty RomCom cheesy. Oddly dialed up vocabulary at times, more sprinkled in to ‘sound smart’ vs adding to the story.

Narrated Like Desperate Housewives

I think this could’ve been a better book had it been narrated better.

It reads like a Desperate Housewives episode with its current narration. Kinda irritating and hard to follow. Lots of characters made it even harder to follow.

Good concept. The execution could’ve been better. Kinda bummed because Zoe and Graham’s story sounded interesting.

Saccharine Meet Cute in Alaska

Endearing Alaskan town and way of life with a little too much sugar. Wish the heroine had more gumption and wasn’t such a damsel in distress.

Lighthearted read

Sweet story. It would be great to have a sequel follow the story and how the city came to life.

Cute over all

Cute story but heads up to anyone who knows how spicy cartoon covered romcom books can be, the spiced used in this one was flour.
