About this listen

Napoleon Hill's Golden Rules: The Lost Writings consists of a series of magazine articles Napoleon Hill wrote between 1919 and 1923 for Success Magazine. Hill's obsession with achieving material success led him out of the poverty-stricken Appalachian Mountains and filled him with the desire to study successful people.

These articles focus on Hill's philosophy of success, drawing on the thoughts and experiences of a multitude of rags-to-riches tycoons, showing listeners how these successful people achieved such status. Hill's popularity continues to this day, as many of his writings, such as the chapter on Law of Attraction, have recently become the basis of several bestselling books (including The Secret!). Discover the principles that will assure you success!

One of Hill’s Best

Hill’s writings prior to “Think and Grow Rich” are my favorite. Along with the “Laws of Success” and “How to Own Your Mind,” he taps into easy to apply truths whose application yield a great return.

Wont make your rich but will get you on your way!!

Okay, I must say I LOVEED, LOVED, LOVED,LOVED, LOVEDD this book. Now, mind you, the man who wrote these teachings is from the 1920s so, we must be understanding of a few things that could seem outdated or not relevant, and some parts a bit boring. But how impacting was it? I will elaborate.
I am a 42 year-old-man trying to get his business up. Fighting to assert his existence and legend. Napoleon Hill is turning out to be the reason I am paying membership to Audible when finances get tight and I feel I should cancel for a while, ol' Nappy (Napoleon haha) keeps me coming back fearing I am delaying my financial success.
If you are someone already rising to success and has wealth, I'm not sure if this is for you because I am not there yet. But, if like me, you have huge dreams, this man will get you on your way. No, this book will not talk about projects, and how to get your specific business model ideas going. It is a backbone, a primer, Not even the bricks, but, rather, the materials of the cement to be used in your bricks (hope this gives you an idea.)
Now, I seriously think this is NOT a book to run through, and put away. I have heard many authors asking their readers to listen many times to their books, but I really never found an author to take this on with. But this, book, in my honest opinion, is to listen to this book MANY times. IF you are serious about rising, then the idea to is KNOW all the principles (not memorize) but KNOW, and commit to doing the exercises. I did this by taking this audiobook on my way to places. Instead of taking transport, I would walk to places just to have time to listen to it. I would take them on my runs EVERY week. I run 3 times a week and do gym the 3 other days. This is how I managed to listen and relisten and relisten to this.
I must even say, that this book made me cry many times. A grown butt man like myself crying.
This book touched me in deep ways and had me vowing to things like
*committing to rendering services of high quality (or die trying, instead of dying in mediocre comfort,
* to committing to ending procrastination,
*to end quarreling with my fellowmen.
*To Uphold and forever honor the Golden Rule. This and much more.
I cannot stop praising this book. I will stop here before I sound like an undercover Audible agent pushing this book-lololol. But seriously, I have my boy ol' Nappy as my official mentor (of course if he were alive, I'd be addressing him as Mr. Hill. lolo)
But, 1920s and all recommending his ol'-butt books from 1890s (lol) but this man knew his stuff. Think you're too modern for this? Then it's not for you :) :)
Listen to it until you commit to know and practice the principles.
