About this listen
"[Holter Graham] uses his deep, elastic voice to punctuate key ideas, and he speeds up and slows down to create tension...The result is a wonderful performance of a most important audiobook." — AudioFile Magazine
This program includes an author's note read by Michael Wolff
#1 New York Times Bestseller
With extraordinary access to the West Wing, Michael Wolff reveals what happened behind-the-scenes in the first nine months of the most controversial presidency of our time in Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House.
Since Donald Trump was sworn in as the 45th President of the United States, the country—and the world—has witnessed a stormy, outrageous, and absolutely mesmerizing presidential term that reflects the volatility and fierceness of the man elected Commander-in-Chief.
This riveting and explosive account of Trump’s administration provides a wealth of new details about the chaos in the Oval Office, including:
- What President Trump’s staff really thinks of him
- What inspired Trump to claim he was wire-tapped by President Obama
- Why FBI director James Comey was really fired
- Why chief strategist Steve Bannon and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner couldn’t be in the same room
- Who is really directing the Trump administration’s strategy in the wake of Bannon’s firing
- What the secret to communicating with Trump is
- What the Trump administration has in common with the movie The Producers
Never before in history has a presidency so divided the American people. Brilliantly reported and astoundingly fresh, Fire and Fury shows us how and why Donald Trump has become the king of discord and disunion.

We all witnessed some of the most shocking and confounding political events of our lifetime: the careening last stage of Donald J. Trump’s reelection campaign, the president’s audacious election challenge, the harrowing mayhem of January 6, the buffoonery of the second impeachment trial. For almost three decades, Fox News has not only made political careers (see: President Donald J. Trump) but also fundamentally altered the political landscape of the United States. It is a truism: as Fox goes, so goes the nation—into further divisiveness and awash in fake news, a gleefully polarizing company. But just as Fox has pushed America apart, now it too is coming apart. As is the family dynasty behind it.

Story
Donald Trump will be president again, whether he is on the ballot or not. That is because Trumpism is overtaking the Republican Party and will mount a vigorous comeback, potentially in the hands of a savvier successor. This prophecy will come true, according to Miles Taylor, if we do not learn the lessons of the recent past. With the 2024 election approaching, the formerly “Anonymous” official is back with bombshell revelations and a sobering national forecast. Taylor predicts what could happen inside “Trump 2.0,” the White House of a more competent and more formidable copycat.

In Everything Trump Touches Dies, political campaign strategist and commentator Rick Wilson brings his darkly funny humor and biting analysis to the absurdity of American politics in the age of Trump. Wilson mercilessly exposes the damage Trump has done to the country, to the Republican Party he served for decades, and to the conservative movement that has abandoned its principles for the worst president in American history. No left-winger, Wilson is a lifelong conservative who delivers his withering critique of Trump from the right.

As one of the strategists behind the famous 2012 RNC “autopsy,” Miller conducts his own forensic study on the pungent carcass of the party he used to love, cutting into all the hubris, ambition, idiocy, desperation, and self-deception for everyone to see. In a bracingly honest reflection on both his own past work for the Republican Party and the contortions of his former peers in the GOP establishment, Miller draws a straight line between the actions of the 2000s GOP to the Republican political class's Trumpian takeover, including the horrors of January 6th.

In July 2004, Barack Obama electrified the Democratic National Convention with an address that spoke to Americans across the political spectrum. Now, in The Audacity of Hope, Senator Obama calls for a different brand of politics: a politics for those weary of bitter partisanship and alienated by the "endless clash of armies" we see in Congress and on the campaign trail; a politics rooted in the faith, inclusiveness, and nobility of spirit at the heart of "our improbable experiment in democracy".

Critic reviews
"Holter Graham, a Baltimore native, actor and veteran audiobook narrator, delivers [this] truly bizarre tale of dysfunction in a composed voice. Where a less confident narrator might have allowed a smirking note to emerge, Graham maintains his poise, subtly picking up the narrative's mood in slight modulations of tone and unobtrusively freighted pauses." (Washington Post)
"If you think that bomb cyclones are unique to the weather, then listening to this audiobook will change your mind. This literary perfect storm combines a book the president wants to ban with a narrator, Holter Graham, whose energy and vocal clarity add fuel to the author's incendiary words.... The result is a wonderful performance of a most important audiobook." (AudioFile)

Kennedy stump in New York or as a strategist guiding the first African American to the White House, Axelrod shows in Believer how his own life stands at the center of the tumultuous American century.

Gingrich employed a scorched-earth strategy to upend the permanent Republican minority in the House, making him speaker.

If it weren't so damned tragic, this would be one helluva hilarious tale--a made for TV cautionary movie.
If you're a Trump-O-Phile, you'll hate this book as it is a shameless body blow against the man. The thing is, if you watch the news, read the paper, read the man's serial-Tweeting (and who, by the way, must obsessively respond to EVERY perceived slight?), you know everything in Fire And Fury already. The man's own words bear this out.
And the White House response to it? Such screeching and hand-wringing as to make it an intriguing must-read/listen. As Wolff said: Where do I send the box of chocolates.
It'll make you eye everything the man does from here on out with interest. The day after I listened to it, Trump stood in a hangar with fellow Republicans and, instead of discussing what their plans for the year are, he went on a rant about how, like, smart he is and how, like, sane he is.
When Bannon comes out looking like the sanest man in the group, you know you're in a hell-hole...
Holter Graham narrates with zest and verve, obviously enjoying himself. Good thing he is, 'cause the rest of us are in for a bumpier ride.

Confirms everything I had thought.
This book is a story of scumbags trying to out scumbag each other. Inevitably, they all turn on each other and then books like this are released. This book confirms that the campaign was simply just a publicity stunt that went way too far. Now everybody is in way over their heads. The entire White House is a dumpster fire that will take generations to rebuild.

No bombshell, but a great book!
There's not really much "new" information in this book, but it does give a great view into the inner workings of the Trump admin, and somewhat the thought process of many involved.

Open Window to an Unhinged White House
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes. While the president's tweets illustrate his lack of maturity, this book peels the cover off of the entire house, revealing the staff surrounding the president as narcissistic and petty as he is. The few people who actually deserve to be there are shown to be in utter disdain of the commander in chief. It's a necessary book at the most whack-a-doo moment in history.
What did you like best about this story?
It's hard to say. I wish this book didn't exist. It's a sad commentary on the state of politics, the electoral process and society as a whole that this president is even in the White House, a position that I honestly believe he didn't want. But he is and it does and it is an important book to bring to light the absolute the disarray in the West Wing.
Have you listened to any of Michael Wolff and Holter Graham ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No. It was okay. There were several mispronunciations that could have been easily corrected, but I have the feeling that the production schedule on this book was rushed to get it to market.
What’s the most interesting tidbit you’ve picked up from this book?
The president's food phobia and how scared he is that someone is going to poison his food.

Most entertaining book of 2018 (as of 1/6/2018)
I don’t know if this book should be categorized as fiction or nonfiction, politics or humor, but it is, without a doubt, entertaining.

kick back & set your horror aside for a rollicking
look @ the dysfunctional Trump White House. Keep in mind that Bannon, Wolff, & Trump are all out for themselves; take every thing with a grain of salt.
