I almost returned it after 45 minutes but decided to keep going. I think the narrator's voice was the reason I wanted to quit but I did like the fact that she sounded like she was telling the story and not reading it. The book turned out pretty good BUT at the end reminded me of Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series without the humor.

I really like this series but sad there are only 3 books. I enjoyed the narrator as she was involved, didn't sound like she was 'reading', and that is very important to me. I enjoyed the fact that the author's side stories were related to the mystery at hand so my mind didn't have to switch gears to get back to the subject of the book. If there was any hint as to who-dun-it, it sure went over my head ... that was the only disappointment. I highly recommend.

If it weren't for the fact that she's replacing a dead man, Kelly Jackson would love her new job managing the Redwood Cove Bed and Breakfast on the coast of Northern California. But Bob Phillips did plunge off the cliff to his death, and Kelly's starting to think it may not have been an accident. Bob's retired friends - The "Silver Sentinels" - are also on the case, especially when Kelly is attacked...and another body turns up.

The narrator didn't just read the book, she was involved and "told" the book. It's a nice whodunnit and sets you up for the next book.

I love the Janet Evanovich Stephanie Plum books. But listening to any audio book requires an great narrator and Lorelei King nails it. She is into the characters, changes voices with each so you have no problem following or wondering who is speaking. Now to the book ... I think Twisted Twenty-Six is the best I've read/heard in a few years. Don't take me wrong, I loved them all but, IMO, this one is dynamic. I loved it so much I'm listening to it a 2nd time since I got it 4 days ago. Keep them coming.

What she got was a dead shop owner and a sexy ghost who's suddenly everywhere - at her shop, in her car, and even lounging in her bedroom. But he's not just any ghost. He's a witch and able to appear in solid form...sometimes. If only he'd stop disappearing on her.

My first ghost and witch book and it was very good
Reviewed: 08-31-18
I enjoyed the speed of the book and the fact that the author did not veer off to other stories within that were not relevant ... the book stayed on subject. I was especially glad that I wanted to listen to in till the end. The narrator had a nice voice, not shrill, she did a good job of changing voices for different characters and got involved with the book. It got a little sappy a few times but that won't stop me from going on to the author's next book in the series. I recommend this book.

I like the basic story but the author did a lot of repeating and that gets annoying. There was no 'hints' of who was the villain therefore impossible to figure out till the end ... I was only a passenger, I couldn't get involved. The narrator was reading as fast as she could instead of "telling" the story. I don't know if a different narrator would help. I'm thinking about returning the audio.

Andy's long-time friend Martha "Pups" Boyer takes in stray puppies that the local dog rescue center can't handle, raises them until they're old enough to adopt, and then finds good homes for them. Not everyone admires the work Pups does as much as Andy does, however.
