Character development for both Ariadne and Phaedra was cringe

The reader did a nice job and the overall story is obviously based on classic Greek mythology but the character development was not compelling at all. Even an evil character can be compelling but it was like all these characters were normal or even too perfect, then out of nowhere they had a personality change and did something stupid or evil. The whole book was about women suffering because of the sins of men but there was no hopeful message or closure. Just women getting squashed lol. There were some good moments and interesting descriptions but overall I’m annoyed.

A sobering inside look at disordered eating & diet culture, wrapped inside a story of raw queer sexuality & seen through the comforting smoke screen of comedy. Layers.

Couldn’t put it down. There is a dream-like quality to this book that left me wistful & heart sick. Love between men via the female gaze. Amazing. Thank you M. Miller.

Such a twisted story with characters that you grow to love and admire.

Side note: A lovely respresentation of non-monogamous love as well.

Although I know that this book isn't really for me, I'm so grateful to have had the chance read it. There is paradigm shifting perspective and powerful story.
