Story
Danielle Clark's life is going according to plan. She's in the middle of her surgical residency and she and her fiance, Will, are the perfect match. At least that's what everyone tells them. When Will brings home a rescue dog, it's hard to tell who's less enthused, Dani or her cat, Jinx. The dog wreaks havoc on the household and needs training, but who has time for that? Certainly not Dani.

Funny and entertaining

The characters were funny, the story light and entertaining, didn't take itself too seriously. I hope to see more by this author.

Story
Being 40 is supposed to be freaking fabulous, not fatal. Taking on a daunting new job minus the description isn’t the smartest move I’ve ever made, even if it was to save a friend. Hopefully, it doesn’t turn out to be the stupidest...or deadliest. Why can’t things stay the way they were? I love my old job. Supergluing ghosts back together and solving their issues is its own reward. Not to mention, I’m seriously good at it. Although, I must say, I’m ridiculously excited for the new Death Counselor’s arrival in nine months....

Good Storyline, Fun Characters, Annoying Repetitio

I love the books except not the cut-n-paste repeats of descriptions. Gets annoying! Maybe the author is trying to make a point but it feels like lazy writing from my side.
However, I love the characters, even the broken ones. Their development is often heartbreaking, sometimes joyous, and occasionally shockingly surprising.
It's a good, easy to follow read.

Story
Thirty-nine was a fantastic year. I was married to the man I loved. I had a body that worked without creaking. My grandma, who raised me, was still healthy, and life was pretty damned good. But as they say, all good things come to an end. One year later, I’m a widow. My joints are starting to ache. Gram is in the nursing home, and dead people think my home is some kind of supernatural bed-and-breakfast. Gluing body parts onto semi-transparent people has become a side job - deceased people I’m not even sure are actually there.

Listening to this book was frustrating at times. the heroine's voice was mostly perky and loud, but the men's voices were so soft I could hardly hear them, and when the heroine's whispered it was lost behind the volume change. I was often forced to rewind and crank up the volume to hear what was being said, then blasted when she returned to the heroine's voice.
Fortunately the story was good enough to keep me listening, and the 2nd book is downloading now.

Story
Cate Delacy is glad she's a witch - and you can take that any ol' way you like. As a very mortal woman she has a target on her back, so she has no intention of following in her mother's footsteps as an enforcer for the Council of Supernatural Beings. She didn't ask to be a Guardian and she has to pay her bills. Opening the Darkmirror Agency is her solution. Her clients are mostly human and they pay on time. But one day it all goes to Hell, figuratively.

Loved the... All of it!

The story was interesting and not the usual interchangeable characters and plot. The narration was wonderful, especially the accents for Jacq and Cate! Humorous, sexy, very entertaining, and I can't wait to get my hands on the next - and the next - loved it.

Story
Concerned that technology is about to chase mythological creatures out into the open (how long can Sasquatch stay hidden from Google maps?), the League for Interspecies Cooperation is sending Jillian to Louisiana on a fact-finding mission. While the League hopes to hold on to secrecy for a little bit longer, they're preparing for the worst in terms of human reactions. They need a plan, so they look to Mystic Bayou, a tiny town hidden in the swamp where humans and supernatural residents have been living in harmony for generations.

Unexpected humor

The characters were interesting and the plot had a few twists to make it enjoyable, but the unexpected bits of humor here and there made me laugh out loud a few times. Downloading the next one now.
