Story
My trip to London was the first lucky break I've had in years. It came at just the right time, allowing me to escape my sad reality for a bit. And the guy I met on the flight? Perfection. The short week we spent together was filled with raw, unbridled, and passionate nights. But it couldn't last. I'm a single mom with a troubled past and a shady ex. Romance just isn't in the cards for me. Which is why I walked away from Jim and didn't look back. That was before I landed my new job. Before I met the boss. Before I discovered that Mr. James Mitchell, CEO, was my Jim.

Years ago, on the darkest night of Poppy and Zinnia’s lives, they got a letter. It was from three elderly sisters in the small town of Keeneston, inviting them to visit and take a job if interested. The Rose Sisters had wanted to retire, but they wanted family to take over their small café.

Story
The rich bloodsuckers don’t want to pay taxes. Too bad, so sad. They’re the least of my problems right now. At the wise suggestion of my beloved mate, I indulge in a little retail therapy so I don’t dismember the pissed-off crew of greedy Vamps who don’t want to pay their fair share. How could a trip to the happiest place on earth a.k.a. Target go wrong? Let me count the ways....

Story
Getting dumped by the Demon of my dreams wasn’t exactly in the game plan. Game plans suck. Throwing caution to the wind is my new motto. I used to be a semi-happily single Vampyre. As the Princess of the Australian Dominion, I have an enormous palace, a fabulous wardrobe, I don’t look a day over 30, and I have gobs of friends — most of whom would be happy to see me permanently deceased. However, they hide it well. In the violent world of the undead, I consider it a win.

Story
Never in my 40 years did I think my new normal would be gluing body parts back onto ghosts and hosting a houseful of dead squatters. Thank God for superglue and a strong stomach. Never thought I’d date the Grim Reaper and that I would be the one to blow it. I mean, how idiotic does one have to be to get dumped by a dude who lives in Hell? Going about business as usual is not usual in any way. No one is who they seem to be...and to be honest, neither am I. What I’d known to be true has turned out to be myth. The angels are frightening, and the demons are hot.

Story
Thirty-nine was a fantastic year. I was married to the man I loved. I had a body that worked without creaking. My grandma, who raised me, was still healthy, and life was pretty damned good. But as they say, all good things come to an end. One year later, I’m a widow. My joints are starting to ache. Gram is in the nursing home, and dead people think my home is some kind of supernatural bed-and-breakfast. Gluing body parts onto semi-transparent people has become a side job - deceased people I’m not even sure are actually there.

Escape to a world that is beyond this life where Daisy can not only see ghosts, but talk to them and glue them back together.
This wildly interesting and funny story brings Daisy into the world of the unknown along with the new lawyer in her firm Gideon who isn't what he seems either and a whole list of interesting and outrageous characters that will give you hours on enjoyment.
Jessica Almasy is a wonderful narrator who brings the characters to life and adds an enormous amount of depth to the story making it come alive for you.

With Ethan by my side, along with new friends and a few well-hidden enemies, it’s time to adjust my crown, put a few Vampyres in their place, and kick some Zombie butt. I’m dead. Life is still good. I have unconditional love. And on most days, when I’m not covered in Zombie guts, I’m wildly fashionable. Fashionably dead, that is, and loving it.
