Story
Jesse Ward has stumbled through life drinking and indulging himself within the rooms of his high-class sex club, The Manor, numbing himself to the pain, grief, and guilt of his wrongs. Pleasure and alcohol are his medicine. Hedonism is all he knows. It’s how he copes. How he survives. Until Ava O’Shea strolls into his office and knocks him back with her breathtaking beauty, ambition, and drive. It only takes one look into her eyes, one touch of her skin, and one word murmured, before his heart is kick-started, offering him something he never thought possible.

Single Dad Beckley Bridges is sexy as hell. No, really, he's the hottest thing since the sun was created. Honest to God, crack an egg on him and the thing will sizzle. So what's the problem? He's also a gigantic jerk. I hate the bastard. I try to avoid him at all costs. But for some reason, everywhere I go he seems to show up. Only the real issue is his daughter, English. She's an adorable quirky first-grader who's the sweetest thing since iced tea. And she's one of my students but also the love of his life.

I loved the attention brought to PTSD in this story because we all need to be more aware. I loved the intelligence and strength that empowered Charlie. This is another example of why I love K. Bromberg books. The characters she creates draw you in and make you want to be them. This tugged at all emotions, joy, sadness, anger, angst, and so much more. I love that her characters are strong, both the male and the female. There's always quick quips to make you laugh. I was eagerly awaiting the release of this audio and it most definitely did NOT disappoint.

Story
When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she doesn't think it's love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.

If you could sum up Ugly Love in three words, what would they be?
Emotional. Captivating. Relatable.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Ugly Love?
I loved when Miles showed up at Tate's door and had been there for hours waiting for her.
What does Grace Grant and Deacon Lee bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I think as with any good narrator, they just give the character life. They let you really experience the anger and angst a character feels through their voice that you may truly grasp when reading.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
We've got this!
Any additional comments?
I love Colleen Hoover's books overall. This book was no exception. I enjoyed it very much. It wasn't my favorite of her books, but I would definitely recommend it to my friends and family and anyone who was looking for a good read.

She brings the main character to life.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes.

Story
In the affluent town of Weslyn, Connecticut, where most people worry about what to be seen in and who to be seen with, Emma Thomas would rather not be seen at all. She’s more concerned with feigning perfection - pulling down her sleeves to conceal the bruises, not wanting anyone to know how far from perfect her life truly is. Without expecting it, she finds love. It challenges her to recognize her own worth - at the risk of revealing the terrible secret she’s desperate to hide.
