Story
There's a war brewing between high-level factions, a conflict Eve finds herself caught in the middle of. Soon enough, this secret plot, this life quest, this entire broken trilogy will come hurtling to an end. Perhaps, with any luck, there will be a loaf of bread waiting on the other side. Or maybe the real loaf of bread was the friends we made along the way. Those friends that made it through, that is.

Compelling and enjoyable read

Compelling and enjoyable read. The last third or so of the book adds something that is missing in most parallel work/multiverse stories. I found that added quite a bit of tension to the story and kept everything gripping and interesting.

A very enjoyable read

A very enjoyable read. I was not aware this was the first book in a series when I picked it up, but I was not disappointed. The book ended at a good point, without leaving a massive cliffhanger while still setting up the next book. I will likely pick up the next book or two to see how the series holds up.

Loved it
Reviewed: 10-09-21
Loved it. Be warned, the main story ends pretty early in the book, around a third of the way through, the rest of the book consists of short stories with tenuous connections to the theme. All in all, the book was very enjoyable and captivating. I hope they continue to publish volumes in the setting.

Enjoyable start to a series

I thoroughly enjoyed this set. The first book or two in the set could have used a little more polish, and I am curious to see how the author is going to handle the steadily ramping consequences of the actions of Sandra. I have already picked up the next few books to see where this one goes.

Picked this up because it was written by Jim Butcher, and it did not disappoint. Thoroughly enjoyed this one. Nice story, good action. Felt a closer to the older Marvel cartoons than they more recent movies, but it was very enjoyable.

Simply Amazing. I could likely listen to Stephen Fry read a dictionary and be satisfied. Listening to him retell the Greek myths that I have heard, seen, and read all of my life is simply amazing. Once again Stephen Fry brings his own humor in both the writing and the narration of this work. If you enjoyed either of the first two books in this series, then this is a worthy choice.
