Would you listen to Gone Girl again? Why?

No, it is a bit long and knowing all the twists, it would be ruined.

What about Julia Whelan and Kirby Heyborne ’s performance did you like?

Great narrators, both of them.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The ending. It kind of sucked, but made sense. I wish it would have worked out the way everyone would have wanted it.

What made the experience of listening to The Girl in 6E the most enjoyable?

It can kind of be like a porn, but has a plot and twist to it.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Very descriptive.

Which character – as performed by Jorjeana Marie – was your favorite?

The main girl

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Nope.

Would you listen to Lay the Favorite again? Why?

Yes, I probably would. I found the obsessive gambling interesting and it had some good laughs.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the main characters descriptions of herself and jobs that she have had in the past.

Have you listened to any of Phoebe Zimmermann’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Nope.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I thought the way she reacted to men and relationships was weird. She falls in love very easily and was gullible.

Any additional comments?

It was a bit of a shame that the first half of the book was so great and then the second went into more of her relationship and was just kind of boring. It had a chance to be great, but missed.

Would you try another book from Jordan Belfort and/or Ray Porter?

No, I think I am done with Belfort.

What was most disappointing about Jordan Belfort’s story?

This book unlike his first really was slow and more in depth into him being caught and ratting on his friends. Went waaaaaay to far into the planning and schemes of his crimes. Just boring.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Ray Porter?

Sure, he did a decent job.

Could you see Catching the Wolf of Wall Street being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Nope.

Any additional comments?

This book is a snooze fest compared to his first. It seems like he wanted to ride the coat tails of his first success and failed.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Not really, but he does kind of draw it out with all the talk of going to Nepal, but I understand as it was to honor his friend.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Ledge?

The parts where he cared so much for his friend that he still treated his body like it was still alive and important, and did not want to lose him.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

No much. He was an armature, but it was cool that it was the real guy.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

I think it is already on a tv show "I shouldn't be alive".

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, it is very entertaining to listen to the life of a guy who throws money around left and right. The shenanigans that ensue with hookers, drugs, and stocks is great and keeps you listening.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Bad/angry. I hated that he really never felt sorry for screwing over so many people, and tried to play it like a happily ever after crap.

What about Eric Meyers’s performance did you like?

I thought Eric's voice was great when he was just being normal, like narrating or Jordon. However, when he try's to do female voices that is another story.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yeah I laughed when Jordon was contemplating having sex with an Ethiopian hooker in Switzerland and said that see looked to clean to have aids.....right?

What made the experience of listening to 21 the most enjoyable?

The story itself is great and there is a lot of suspenseful moments that keep you on edge and wanting to listen more.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Kevin, the main because you just wanted to route for the guy to take all of the casino's money.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Oh where do I start? The narrator was HORRIBLE. I think with a little editing skills and common sense you could edit out all of the water drinks and gulping that guy does sometimes what seems like after every sentence. It really distracted from the story and was very annoying. He also try's to do character voices, but in a very bad way. They all almost start off normal and end with a fake New York or Boston accent. Just terrible.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yeah, when Martinez was getting the heck beat out of him for counting cards and just using his brain to beat the casino and not cheating.

Any additional comments?

Story great, narrator terrible.
