Story
Steve had experience when it came to waking up with hangovers. Being attacked by kobolds? Not so much. After rousing in the middle of a monster-filled forest, he was sure his life was over. That was until he was saved by a fire-wielding angel who was anything but human. Now Steve finds himself a temporary guest on a small run-down farm filled with monster girls who need his help. None more so than the canine beauty responsible for saving his skin.

performance was great

The story was OK. Nothing to write home about you generally Liked all the characters. Except Marietta She is a completely obnoxious character who only exists as a mcguffin She is completely unlikable Even these so-called acts of selflessness come across as narcissistic and self-serving. The performance only that the hand was amazing. The fact that you actually had 2 separate voice actors working was great And added to the more spicy parts. Where usually those parts Is described that level detail.

the voice acting was an homage to the movie
Reviewed: 11-15-22
Sam Spade was a very unlikable character through the majority of this book. Completely redeeming himself at the end the voice acting was a wonderful homage for Gutman and Cairo to their original actors. and I was grateful that the gentleman performing didn't even attempt Bogart's voice. It's a wise man that knows his limitations.

Reviewed: 07-12-22
This is by far one of the most under-appreciated series ever written. It saddens me deeply that there are only 9 books. I only hope that if they ever take the time to make it's series out of it but they follow the books close enough to make it worth watching.

I've grown extremely attached to all of these characters. James and Angela, Brian and Geronde, Dafydd and Daniel as well as Carolinas, Hob, and Rrrnlf are very compelling characters that you become quite attached to. The adventures are fun and the characters do not tend to get themselves into worse trouble by being stupid.
