The Definition of Inspiration

David Goggins walks you through his journey from being the victim of abuse and racism to reaching triumphs no one could ever believe were possible. I read only non-fiction and have read many autobiographies, but none compare to this book. It is one of the most humbling and inspiring books I have ever read. If Goggins set out to change people’s mindset, and prove the power of the mind, he has succeeded with this book.
Every person who wants to be more, do more and achieve more should read this book.

Germany is one of the richest and most influential countries in the world, which is amazing when you consider that the nation is only about the size of the US states of Oregon and Washington combined. It’s even more astounding when you consider that at the end of World War II, every major German city (and many minor ones) had been flattened by the Allied bombing campaign. Still more amazing is that the country has gone from international pariah and home of the Holocaust to one of the most well-regarded and humanitarian nations on Earth.

This book is a game changer. It will reshape how you view success. I’d like to see this as required reading for junior high through college. MG should write a version for younger children to read in primary school. It gives new perspective to the proverb it takes a village.. I told my 12 year old daughter about the book, how fantastic it was etc. She says “Yeah mom we read it in school, I told you about it already!
