Becoming Bulletproof means transforming yourself into a stronger, more confident, and more powerful person. Evy Poumpouras - former Secret Service agent to three presidents and one of only five women to receive the Medal of Valor - demonstrates how we can overcome our everyday fears, have difficult conversations, know who to trust and who might not have our best interests at heart, influence situations, and prepare for the unexpected. When you have become bulletproof, you are your best, most courageous, and most powerful version of you.

Decent, but fairly generic

There are dozens of much better books out there to read. I wouldn’t waste my time on this one if I could go back. It wasn’t bad, it was just mediocre.

Just “OK”
Reviewed: 11-27-20
Too many societies were discussed so getting in depth into any didn’t really happen. It was a good high level overview of secret societies in general with some historical context (mostly what could be found in the news). Nothing really groundbreaking, but overall it was interesting.

Story
Thousands of years ago, the Earth was a battlefield. These were the wars that would shape man's destiny - terrible conflicts that began lifetimes earlier on another planet. Parting the mists of time and myth, the internationally renowned scholar Zecharia Sitchin takes us back in this volume to the violent beginnings of the human story, when gods - not men - ruled the Earth. In a spellbinding reconstruction of epic events preserved in legends and ancient writings, he traces the conflicts that began on another world, continued on Earth, and culminated in the use of nuclear weapons.

I enjoy hearing the corroboration with the Bible stories and how the author notes differences, if any. Hearing about this ancient culture is such an amazing journey.
Looking forward to the next book in the series!

Story
Since earliest times, human beings have pondered the incomprehensible questions of the universe, life...and the afterlife. Where did mortal man go to join the immortal Gods? Was the immense and complex structure at Giza an Egyptian Pharaoh's portal to immortality? Or a pulsating beacon built by extraterrestrials for landing on Earth? In this second volume of his trailblazing series The Earth Chronicles, Zecharia Sitchin unveils secrets of the pyramids and hidden clues from ancient times to reveal a grand forgery on which established Egyptology is founded.

Great information, but with a political bias

This was a great book, but with what felt like a political bias sprinkled throughout. I might read it again, but if I found a cliff notes version then I’d go for that next go-around.

Good info, but overall seems lacking
Reviewed: 12-19-18
They want you to have a complete list of purchase items for your contractor, but who knows exactly what is needed? Say for bathtub tile, which glue do we buy? Do people know which type of hardibacker? Which type of grout? The type of caulking and any plumbing needed?
After reading this book you have a general idea of what to do, but nobody is going to know all that. I’ve done all the work on three houses myself and still couldn’t tell exactly what to buy and always have to make multiple trips to the hardware store.
There are other areas lacking as well, but they also have plenty of good info and provide some resources on their website, which is cool.
They mention boot camp and students throughout the book and when I looked up the company I think this is the one that sells you a couple seminars and then talks you into buying their master program at $15,000-$35,000. Not something I would do because there are mountains of info on anything real estate out there. It’s highly saturated.

Stephen R. Covey's book, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, has been a top seller for the simple reason that it ignores trends and pop psychology for proven principles of fairness, integrity, honesty, and human dignity. Celebrating its 15th year of helping people solve personal and professional problems, this special anniversary edition includes a new foreword and afterword written by Covey that explore whether the 7 Habits are still relevant and answer some of the most common questions he has received over the past 15 years.

The following books were far more helpful and pertinent to my success:

Story
Every leader must be ready and willing to take charge, to make hard, crucial calls for the good of the team and the mission. Something much more difficult to understand is that in order to be a good leader, one must also be a good follower. This is a dichotomy - a Dichotomy of Leadership. It is, as authors Jocko Willink and Leif Babin explained in their best-selling first audiobook, Extreme Ownership, “Simple, Not Easy”.

You will never quite know how many opportunities you have missed by lacking a little self-confidence when you need it most. Whether it's nailing that job interview, speaking in front of a crowd, or asking that someone on a date. All too often people fall short in these moments as they aren't equipped with the cutting edge confidence to adequately deal with them.
