Story
In the South, you always say “yes, ma’am” and “no, ma’am.” You know everybody’s business. Football is a lifestyle, not a pastime. Food — especially dessert — is almost a religious experience. And you protect your friends as fiercely as you protect your family — even if the threat is something you cannot see.

I've read a lot of books that made me cry, but this book had me in tears for half of it.
I know the southern custom of "Sitting Up With the Dead", I don't think it's still done so often today.
This is a heart wrenching, heart warming story well worth reading. I have to believe the critics of this book didn't read the whole book.
The narrator did an excellent job.

This series is. not a deep drama. The individual stories are sweet love stories. They're a joy to read/listen to, that leave you feeling like you've made new friends. The characters become family. I want to read the next installment ASAP.
It's not heavy literature, but it is a make you feel good story.
I recommend this series to anyone who feels in the dumps.
The narrators are good, too.
Amazon has parts of this series out of the list, so you should search the author for missing volumes.

The narrator is good, the story is good, but I HATE CLIFFHANGER Endings!
This seems like one of those series it's better to wait for the last book before reading the series.

I've enjoyed this series, I recommend it to anyone who likes clean, cozy murder mysteries.
I am disappointed I can't buy the Decote Sisters series, but I just can not listen to the narrator who reads those books.
They should have used the narrator who read this series. The narrator who performs this series is excellent. I'll be eagerly awaiting for Charlie and Diesel's next adventure.
