The lecturer's love of exploring words and their origins is clearly heard in this course. The chapter on bringing back seldomly used older words was great.

America is the land of the free, after all. Does it really matter whether our politicians bend the truth here and there? When the truth is traded for lies, our freedoms are diminished and don’t return. In Lies the Government Told You, Judge Andrew P. Napolitano reveals how America’s freedom, as guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution, has been forfeited by a government more protective of its own power than its obligations to preserve our individual liberties.

Judge Andrew Napolitano reads his own work with the same passion for individual liberty and limited government many of us have seen him show on television for years. The judge explains his points clearly and passionately without burying the audience in useless detail. In this work, he explains several lies that most of us have heard throughout or lifetimes relates to the government's relationship with the people. Sadly most of these lies are still believed by the vast majority of the population. It may be, and it should be, alarming. Consider yourself "trigger warned".

The reader does a great job of narrating and acting the dialog in a way that helps you keep track of who is speaking without overdoing it. It's very effective throughout most of the performance.
