Okay this book is really funny!! However, it is almost impossible to get over how absolutely stupid the male character is. I'm all about some characters being oblivious but this one is just way over the top. It isn't even that he is oblivious that is the problem it is just bad how bad they made him. Ugh

Story
No one does Scottish historical romance better than Donna Fletcher, as this breathtaking tale further proves. The story of a fearless young beauty determined to rescue her father from imprisonment by the false king - and of the fierce, achingly attractive warrior she joins forces with and soon discovers she cannot resist - A Warrior's Promise captures all the passion and magic of Scotland, and all the heat and fire of love unbound, in a manner that Fletcher's wildly devoted, ever-growing audience simply will not be able to resist.

The first book was GREAT! I got the second second book excepting the same great type of story. I didn't expect pretty much the same story line just different main characters. Sadly, the third book has been much of the same of the first two. The women are pretty much not very intelligent and it seems to be just a bunch of chapters of (maybe/maybe not) sex scenes. I love romance stories and I expect the romantic sex scenes in them but I guess I don't expect literally EVERY SINGLE chapter to have those scenes. Not to mention the should I or should I not struggle with the characters seeming to be the main story line. The main story idea is great there just isn't much of that part of the story to hear. Over the last 28 years of my life I have read thousands of books mainly consisting of romance novels. So, after reading 4 to 6 books a week I am a pretty good judge of a good story line. These books could have a great story line if they were just edited by taking out some of the parts I have mentioned above.

I love this author I have read and listened to all of her books. With that being said the female character in this book was absolutely annoying and a little to far into empty headedness. Now on to the next book!!

I really enjoyed these books. However, it seemed like they were a little short and rushed. I think each book could have been longer with more information on each girl. I would love to see Emily write more to this series, like some books on some of the future generations of girls.

This book is really hard to follow. It jumps back and forth between when the couple was younger and them in the present. The jumps are not seamless and are poorly placed in the story.
