It had potential
Reviewed: 11-16-24
I see the potential in the storyline, it's just lacking in a lot of areas. It's kind of all over the place. Narration is key, the male narrator he was good. But the female this Laura Lacy her voice is not good for narrating stories.

Story
The Zelda Diaries collects all seven novellas in the series so you can follow along with Zelda and Scott as they navigate their fun, complicated romance. A different kind of love story without the dashingly handsome hero or the cute, but fragile heroine. These are real people who love hard and spend lots of time "getting it in." The end is just as satisfying as the beginning.

First I want to say this is my first time listening to anything by this particular author. And listening to anything by this particular narrator, this book was actually suggested to me as a good listen. At first it was a little slow I really didn't know where it was going; but when I tell you this book was outstanding. This book was funny I don't know who was funnier the grandma are Pippie with her saying I don't know who's worse. Worth the credit.

Struggling with grief after losing the love of his life, Chief is compelled to continue his demanding job as a billionaire investment banker, and he isn't interested in finding another love. At least that's what he thought.

This story had the potential to be really great. However, narration is key when you want your listeners to enjoy the story. The female narrator was horrible. Her pronunciation of words, the stumbling over word, the inconsistency, the transition into other characters. Did not flow well. It's like they all really sounded the same. Winston James always does an amazing job; again the narrator can only read what is written in the book. It was inconsistencies in his portion, mainly numbers. Where he say he spent one amount and then within like two or three sentence later he said he spent another amount. Had great potential, I would truly say audition the narrators first; before you let them finish, and before you put it out for your listeners.

It's was ok I guess

It was a okay story, but it was lackluster due to the narration. More on part of the male narrator. He was dry, lack passion, and he really didn't even bring any of the characters to life like he should've. The mispronunciation of words and stuttering over words; as he didn't know what word would come next. It kind of made it hard to really listen to. I got through; it more so because of the female narrator she was good overall. the storyline was decent it was just lacking in some areas.

I first want to just give it up to Scotland for being a real one, not playing games. She was just a straight-up no chaser type girl; which is my type of girl. No dramatics, secretive bullshit and I appreciate that. I think she's my favorite girl out of all the series so far and LaQuay is definitely my favorite gangster. I love Shvonne Latrice's writing style. Everything each book get better and better and better I cannot wait for the whole complete series.

Narration was just awful. What were these accents that they was trying to do? They was trying to do a Boston accent it was horrible, they tried to do a Russian accent it didn't go well. I don't know what accent they were but both narrators male and female were awful. The story over all is self was actually decent. But again it makes it cringing to listen to these narrator voices.

Now that Kimberlyn has been attacked, TQ is out for blood. With so many possible suspects, it seems almost impossible to figure out who would make such a terrible mistake. Luckily for TQ, the lack of experience of her assailant eventually leads him right to them. However when one enemy goes down, many others begin to rise, forcing TQ to have to make a decision that will forever change QCF, and may even cost him his life.

Narration was 😞

I don't know how many times we have to let y'all know that the narration is what make us want to listen to your books on audible. Both the male and female was awful, especially the female I don't know where y'all found her but please never use her again. The voices she tried to create, the dramatics was just not giving. It was just awful! Overall I did enjoy the storyline, because it was pretty decent. But it was cringing to listen to both of the narrators.

Narration👎😒
Reviewed: 07-31-24
Overall this was actually a nice series. I love pretty much everything by this author, I'm a supporter of her work. I've read pretty much all of her books. However, when it comes to her uploading her audible books; I would just love for her to really sit down with the narrator and have them read for her. Because the narration is key if you want people to really engage and listen to the audible book. You must find the voice that is best suited for the character. Leon Nixon was not fit for (Belly) him trying to portray that he is hard, menacing, and he's a tough guy; that is not his voice. Now the other two characters that he read for Manny and Will, that was perfect for his voice. Because it sound like he's a soft dude. This was actually a good series, it's just the narrator made it cringing for me to really want to engage in the story.
