Loved this depiction of the history of Rahab and Simeon and the way she includes scripture as the story is unfolding. Very good read/listen and also always enjoy listening to this narrator.

Story
Disciple Matthew, a former tax collector, is invited to work with Peter, James, and John in Jerusalem. He dreams of preaching and performing miracles like his fellow apostles, but he finds his dreams postponed because of a request from Yeshua's mother. Well aware of the passing years, Mary asks Matthew to help her record the stories of Yeshua while the eyewitnesses are still alive. Reluctantly, he agrees, though the longer he and Mary work together, the more difficult their task becomes.

Story from the Bible but did not follow

Struggled with the creative freedom taken with the Bible. Great story, and it would have been even better if it had followed more closely to the truth.
Good narration, well written with the exception of missing facts

Story
A New York Times best seller! Brokenness doesn't only find us in the big things - things like illness, hardship, or grief. It can find you in the everyday. Learn to walk in a way that glorifies Jesus and receive freedom, not beyond your fear and pain, but within it. We are fragile and we know it. Sometimes, living with Christ in a messed-up world feels less like victory and more like walking uphill. The Broken Way is simple in presentation, written in Ann’s unique style - a new way for desperate Christians in need of a fresh revelation of the grace of God.

Wonderful and heart breaking story
Reviewed: 01-19-22
We visited Greece in 2019, wish I would have been able to read/listen to this book before then and known of more of the more recent history. We walked many of the places mentioned in this book and was able to picture them in my mind as the story was told. We meet many wonderful people while in Greece, and heard many wonderful stories of their past, but never knew something like this had happened during their life time. Makes me want to go hug the lady who runs the local Greek restaurant in our area, she is from Greece and I'm sure she would have many stories from her life that would fit into this book. The story is wonderfully told and read, my next book will be one from Patricia Wilson.
