Twenty years ago, it was as if someone turned on a light. The future blazed into existence with each deliberate word that William Gibson laid down. The winner of Hugo, Nebula, and Philip K. Dick Awards, Neuromancer didn't just explode onto the science fiction scene - it permeated into the collective consciousness, culture, science, and technology.Today, there is only one science fiction masterpiece to thank for the term "cyberpunk," for easing the way into the information age and Internet society.

Really weird, kinda immoral
Reviewed: 07-17-21
The mc becomes a god by the end of the book. But the way this is achieved is kinda disrespectfully done to real world religions. The character is no paragon or saint. I'm fact, a lot of his choices are kinda messed up.

Throughout the vast lands controlled by the Ironship Trading Syndicate, nothing is more prized than the blood of drakes. Harvested from captive or hunted Reds, Greens, Blues, and Blacks, it can be distilled into elixirs that bestow fearsome powers on the rare men and women known as the Blood-blessed. But not many know the truth: that the lines of drakes are weakening. If they fail, war with the neighboring Corvantine Empire will follow swiftly.

A decent book, but I disliked most MCs

This book had problems. The sexual content was not anything I was interested in, and should have been left out. The main characters were either boring simply unlikable. Lizanne particularly. Hilemore I did enjoy, yet his chapters had less interesting content typically. I picked up the next book, and it just got worse, so I wouldn't recommend it.
Another frustration (minor) was that the only character of faith in this book was treated as a crazy.
The world building was pretty good, I'll give you that.
Anyway, that's all.

Zero is just one of 20,000 people aboard a spaceship bound for a new planet set to be colonized. The journey is over a century long but luckily, everyone is in stasis, so they’ll be safe and sound asleep during the trip. Everyone that is, except for Zero, whose pod has malfunctioned, waking him up a hundred years early. His initial excitement in roaming the ship alone quickly turns to a heart-stopping interstellar adventure when a family of space pirates show up, trying to hijack the ship and take the colonizers hostage.

For a thousand years the Lord Ruler, the "Sliver of Infinity," reigned with absolute power and ultimate terror, divinely invincible. So this is difficult to say... as far as a book as a whole, I preferred Words of Radiance. Oathbringer was a little slow in the middle. However, the ending of Oathbringer was INCREDIBLE. I definitely recommend, just be wary of the middle. it gets good, don't worry.
