I found this book to be packed with details. while this may be boring to some ; In the true crime genre, it's fascinating. I live a short drive from Rochester. I've spent a large amount of time there. so I can picture the areas where these crimes happened. I also remember when Shawcross was captured. I was a big deal in the region. so if you enjoy knowing every detail about a serial killer , then you will love this book! I did!

The police in Jersey County, Illinois, accepted Paula Sims' story of a masked kidnapper who snatched her baby girl, Lorelei, from her bassinet. Three years later, her second newborn daughter suffered an identical fate - and this time the police were unable to stop searching until they had discovered the whole horrifying truth. This is the full terrifying story of twisted sexuality and hate seething below the surface of a seemingly normal family and of the massive investigation and nerve-shattering trial that made the unthinkable a reality.

As much as I enjoyed the genre , this book was filled with the Serial killer basics. if you are new to the genre you will enjoy this book. But for people that are True crime fans , most of the info was old. I did like unmasking the FBI behavioral unit and pointing out the errors within. ex : lack of any psychology degrees. .
