Twists in the storyline made it really interesting. It was not obvious how the tragedies would affect the characters.

I thought the comment about hoping they did get lice from the character with dreadlocks was inappropriate.

But Ray has a gift and a dream—he’s determined to become a world-class professional violinist, and nothing will stand in his way. Outstanding!

This book is not characteristic of a book I would read but saw it on Good Morning America. Suspenseful! There were so many twists and turns that the ending wound up being a surprise. Loved how the realities of life of a minority musician were woven into the story line. Could have been better with less cursing.

This was hard for me to listen to. The topic is so scary but is real. Karen did a wonderful job of bringing the characters to life and ending it in such a beautiful way.
