This book didn’t live up to SK’s usual books. The story was not plausible and the female voice grated on me at times-I forced myself to finish, but it never got better.

The female lead is strong and getting stronger throughout this series. She seems to vacillate a great deal. the three books could easily be condensed into one book, but each of the characters are well developed. I dislike cliffhangers and each book in the series has been a cliffhanger. I’m surmising that the next book will also be a cliffhanger followed by a final book. They aren’t written well enough to make me wish to listen all over again when the series is finished. The story is engaging and the narration is great. It makes me wish more books could have multiple narration.

I regret buying a book I’ve already listened to in a collection.

I first purchased this book as part of a collection and didn’t recognize the title when I purchased this book separately. I hate wasting my money. Audible always lets me know if I’m about to purchase a book I already own but apparently not if it was part of a boxed set. It only took a couple of chapters to recognize the story so I didn’t finish it. To be fair I enjoyed it when I listened to it in the boxed set.

I liked the female character but the male lead not so much. He isn’t very likable. Perhaps it was possibly the male narrator. His voice lacked warmth and I could never tell his true feelings. I’m sorry I wasted time on it. I usually finish every story, but not this time.

In the shock of the century, he called me three days later and asked me on a date. I would rather die than date a man like him - though I do have to admit it was good for the ego. Turning him down was the highlight of my year.

I loved this audiobook, laughed out loud so often, tears too. I like the heroine is smart and funny. I’ll need to follow all the brothers stories .
If possible I would have given the story 4 and 3/4 stars. There was just a bit that didn’t feel plausible to me.
