Story
Camden Harris, the famously hot, hulk of a footballer is laid up in a London hospital. But his busted knee doesn't stop him from running his well-practiced game on Indie Porter - his redheaded spitfire of a doctor. She's not his type, not even close. But she could be the perfect distraction from the soul-crushing damage this injury could cost him.

The narration made it really fun and interesting. The story was also really good. Camden was sexy and Indie was not a door mat and actually smart and caring.

Story
My new stepbrother is insufferable. You'd think it wouldn't matter since I won't be here for long, but this guy gets under my skin like no one ever has. All-American, baby-faced, blue-eyed band dork and star soccer player. Everything about him is the picture of perfection—unlike me. I don't think Do Gooder knows I'm starting senior year late. And he definitely doesn't know why. I've got secrets I'm taking with me to the grave.

The music should have been turned down during dialogue but I could still hear but I know others won’t.
I’ve read this book before (and loved it back then too) but this is my first time listening to the audiobook and the narration was great!

Every bartender should follow one simple rule—don't go home with the customers. That’s been easy for me to stick to, until the night a cocky, confident, and sinfully charming hockey star walks into my bar. This sexy athlete is too hard to resist, especially when he makes it clear how much he wants the “sarcastic, witty, hot AF” guy behind the bar—also known as me.

Amazing narration, not so amazing story
Reviewed: 06-15-21
First off, I love that there was zero homophobia in this book.
Although there were really good scenes with Dean and Fitz, there was triple the amount of sex scenes for every one scene that furthered the plot. This could have been a shorter book if some of the unnecessary sex scenes were taken out.
However this was still a cute book and them falling for one another and making big unexpected decisions were nicely done.
The narration was amazing as always. A lot of cameos from characters I haven’t read yet.

Set in early 1980s Poland against the violent decline of communism, a tender and passionate story of first love between two young men who eventually find themselves on opposite sides of the political divide - a stunningly poetic and heartrending literary debut for fans of Andre Aciman, Garth Greenwell, and Alan Hollinghurst.

Heartbreakingly beautiful
Reviewed: 08-28-20
Will Watt’s voice is so soothing. He did a wonderful job. This is my second time listening to this book and it breaks me every time. These two men are navigating life in socialist Poland in opposite ways and views: one a bit of a hopeless romantic, and the other narrowly ambitious. Both catalysts for their relationship’s downfall. (One more than the other). Jedrowski’s use of second-person was perfectly done. This is very similar to The Song of Achilles in the way that we know the outcome but it’s still hurts and that the narrator portrays their lover so tenderly even when they are in the wrong.

Story
When I first encountered Ford Donovan, I had no idea who he was...well, other than the obvious. Young, gorgeous, successful, smart. Did I mention young? If I did, it bears repeating. Ford Donovan was too young for me. Let’s back up to how it all started. My best friend decided I needed to start dating again. So, without my knowledge, she set up a profile for me on a popular dating site - one that invited men ages 21 to 27 to apply for a date.
