The best book I read in 2024, Hands Down!

The most powerful idea I got from this book is that success demands that you follow your talents NOT your passion. Talent is the thing that you can do easily, that comes in naturally to you, that you find effortless and don’t even consider it to be of value, while others consider it difficult, undesirable, and hard to do so much that they don’t do it because they can’t or won’t. Talent is a complex thing, it’s not just you being able to play a musical instrument well, so don’t conflate talent with skill. Talent can be the synergistic focal point of multiple skills and interests, gut feeling and intuition, natural propensity to learn something super fast and to master it in an extremely short period of time. A talent is a strength point that others recognize in you immediately and then ask you to help them do it or do it for them on a regular basis. It might even annoy you that people keep asking you to do it because, as already mentioned, you find it too easy so much that you assume it’s just as easy to do by other people and that they’re just lazy to do it themselves and want to infringe on your time for no good reason.

So that is talent and it’s your strong muscle that you need to keep training, improving and upgrading. It’s your gold mine and your path to tremendous success in a short period of time. This is your high income ticket that you can leverage into a source of financial security which in itself can be leveraged to attain success, reputation, wealth, and mastery.

Understanding how to map and design your life doesn’t come easily to people. None of this is easy, but understanding how the machinery works is the first step to building a life that you can be proud of. And remember the joy of life is in the journey, it’s in figuring these things out and then walking the path savoring each step along the way.

The best piece of advice in the book is to realize that time will go by faster than you think and that you should do whatever is necessary to reach financial security as soon as possible and then let time be your ally

Not A Small Surprise!

I never expected to learn anything from this book, as I do have some strong opinions about health and weight loss specifically but it did help me understand myself a bit better and I am now more confident in some of the knowledge I already possessed. I do honestly believe that this book will help me reach my health goals. I know for a fact that this book has instantly become the number one book I would recommend to anyone about health and fitness.

An impressive book punching above its weight class. The author obviously has done a lot of personal work to internalize this knowledge and even though there’s technically nothing new here to someone well immersed in the self-improvement literature, but there’s plenty to be said about a great writing style, phenomenal storytelling abilities, and an uncanny ability to express emotions with voice. The author’s take on the ideas he shares in his book makes it a unique read that is well worth the time.

This is THE best book I’ve ever read about the topic of confidence so far. Well rounded discussion, and a brilliant distillation of most, if not all, of the relevant points from the field of personal development. The link with a fitness perspective reframes the conversation in an easy to digest and makes known ideas seem fresh. Beautiful writing style and excellent narration by the author who knows the topic through and through. Five Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Solid distillation of a Winning Mindset

This book is a Solid distillation of a Winning Mindset. It's amazing how you hear the same words coming out of the most successful people in the world in every discipline imaginable. It never gets old because it's timeless and true. You need to hear the truth being told repeatedly to engrave it in the stones of your mind. It’s the same thing with lies, propaganda, and mass media brainwashing. The more time you hear the same things the more conditioned you become to believe them. Repetition is the source of all the magic in the world. Black magic is the result of the incessant repetition of falsehoods until you doom enough people into believing them by force of habit. You're a victim of black magic if you submit to the narrative being propagated around you in the world without you questioning its validity and the authority that forces it upon you. White magic happens as you are pursuing knowledge, wisdom, and truth with unrelenting intention. White magic is the result of being immersed in the words and thoughts of those who you actively seek to learn from. This is why hearing, reading, and writing the same thoughts over and over again is the only way to plow your own path to freedom. Thoughts are dangerous and all those who govern people know the imperative of controlling the thoughts of the masses because thoughts become actions, actions become habit, habits become character, and character becomes destiny. This is why this lean mean successful mindset starter by Ed Mylett should be handled with its due reverence. In the age of zero attention span, it’s become of the utmost importance to deliver massive value in a pill easily swallowed in zero time. I used to be massively partial to long-form content and the beefy material in big books, but not I know that the delivery of the main principles in an easily digestible short-form content gives out massive results. Long well thought out content that covers every single aspect of the topic will always have its place for those who want to go on a full immersion journey with knowledge. But such succinct small amuse-bouche high octane short success mindset books can sustain a person on the journey of self-mastery. I love the book and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to be on the path of success, health, wealth, and abundance.

This is a surprisingly good book despite the reviews saying otherwise. Diane von Furstenberg gave the world her own character's support beams expressed in lean straight to the point definitions. It's quite fascinating how the top players in every field who have reached the heights of success share the same endoskeleton of ideas, principles, and mindset. The style of the book as a dictionary is unique and refreshing and it's such a short fun read.

This book works like a fine thread that stitches together many aspects of awareness. It does introduce the amazing insight that the state of flow is where we are not actively thinking, but is in fact the empty calm space where we are completely living in the present moment without fear or anxiety and completely immersed in bliss, abundance, and trust. To be in a state of non-thinking is to be one with the divine and where you can let go of fear and embrace the excitement of the passionate exploration of the unknown. A great book that can only find you at a specific point on your journey of awareness.

This is a book for every overthinker out there struggling with their own anxieties, expectations, and fulfillment. The brevity of the book is its most powerful quality. It's as if the author strums the chords of a musical instrument that can only be heard by your soul. For maximum enjoyment, I suggest you do as I did and listen to it in the absolute quiet of night especially if you can take a walk outside or sit somewhere where the night breeze washes your face as the words cleanse your spirit with the gentle caressing of kind truths. Again, beautiful.
