Story
When I left that night, I had every intention of coming back to you. To us. But no matter how hard I wish for what I want, there are some things in life that aren't meant to be. I don't expect you to understand. You've already moved on, living your life. But mine ended that night, nine years ago, and I still can't let you go. Not sure I ever will. I regret so many things, but hurting you, I'll never forgive myself. I'm sorry for...everything.

Story
For decades, Brendan Lau has swept the Hollywood scene as an openly gay actor starring in romantic films—but now, at fifty-one, he's losing out on roles to younger actors. And when he's passed over as the hero in a period film and instead cast as the father, it's less his reputation and more his pride that can't take the insult. But when he confronts the younger actor who stole his part, he walks in on Cillian Tell struggling to fend off the director's unwanted advances.

excellent narrative by Joel Leslie and great story with suspenseful story line, however I cannot figure out why the word "she" instead of "he" is often used which really bothered me

No one said being a medium would be easy. Rain Christiansen, former FBI agent and current cold case detective, is starting to think it's the hardest job he's ever had - and the most important. He's determined to accept all the changes in his formerly well-ordered life, but that means embracing a whole lot of weird. There's no instruction manual for meshing his work with his medium duties, and he's painfully aware that he's flubbing the job. So are the ghosts, who are becoming increasingly impatient. And stronger.

Great read with suspense and I could not guess wo the murderer was. Very entertaining with ghosts trying to get the attention of the main character who tries to make them appear only when it is convenient to him. Love the voices of the narrator which bring the characters alive.

Narrated by the talented Chris Chambers who makes it fun to listen, not sure how does it to get the different character voices sound so believable. I just wish Daryl would write more amusing books like this.
